Blessing Message

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well (Matthew 6:33).
 
When I was a young boy, I used to accompany my grandfather to the fish market. In those days, we were in such financial shortage that my grandfather used to buy fish by bargaining. After the fish has been weighed, he would ask the vendor to please add some more fish and the vendor would take a few more fish and add it to the entity we had paid for. This added quantity used to make us happy. We would return home contented that the fish seller gave us two small fish free of cost! But when God adds, His ‘added quantity’ will be so much that we can’t even carry home. He will give with such magnificent grace that we cannot weigh them. Friend, this day, whatever you ask God, He will add more blessings. Yes, ‘added blessings’ more than what you prayed for, expected or hoped. Our God loves to surprise you with His love. Yes! When you seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, He will add more than what you need into your life.

Let me share the testimony of a brother called Anandha Selvam from Chennai: “I was born and brought up in a family that has not tasted the love of Christ. I was having a modest tea shop to run my family. I faced one loss after another in this small business and I almost became a pauper. I didn’t know where to run to. This was my state of affairs. But, about six or seven years ago, one of my friends introduced me to Jesus Calls ministry and invited me to visit the Dr.D.G.S Dhinakaran Memorial Prayer Tower in person for prayers. Through the prayers there, the peace of God began to fill me. Though I did not have enough money, yet, with just the bus fare alone in my hand, I used to visit the Prayer Tower. I started attending the events in the Prayer Tower along with my wife and children. In this way I started to have close fellowship with the Lord and He began to bless me. I who had no money in my hands now I am blessed financially. The Lord has blessed me with good job and two two-wheelers- one for me and one for my wife. We have purchased a land and started to build our house. I am regularly giving my offering to the Prayer Tower ministries. All glory to God.”

God changed his state of lack into a state of added blessings. That same God will bless you too more than you need. You might be in want of basic needs but God says to you today that He will make you overflow with blessings. The Bible says, “Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think” (Ephesians 3:20). All you need to do is seek God and His ways first and foremost in life. You will experience the best of God’s blessings. Do not be worried.

Prayer:
Loving Father,

Thank You for this promise that You are going to add blessings into my life. Give me grace to seek You first so that I receive Your added blessings. Fix my mind on things above and help me to please You in all that I do. May Your Word be my delight. This I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord (Isaiah 55:8).
God’s thoughts are way bigger than our thoughts. Our thoughts may be, “Oh, I am not good enough, I have so many problems, I can’t live like that person, I am failing in this area always, I have no future”, but God’s thoughts are always for our good and is always good. He desires to deliver us from all our sicknesses, from all our pain. He thought to die for us and to give His life for us. That is how big His thoughts are about us. It is because He loves us. So we can put all our burdens, our sicknesses, our failures, our problems and everything upon Him. When we do that He gives us His freedom. Because we believe Him, He will give His thoughts to us teaching us the way we should go, the things we should do and the future we need to walk into. He will guide us with His thoughts. He will fill us with His wisdom to lead us into a good life.

In the Bible, we read about the life of Peter. He was a fisherman. Once, as Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.”  At once they left their nets and followed him. Peter loved fishing but at the call of Jesus, he left his fishing net and followed Jesus. But after Jesus rose back, Peter again went back to fishing. He forgot the call of God in his life. So Jesus appeared to him again by the sea while he was fishing and makes breakfast for him. When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?” “Yes, Lord,” he said, “you know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Feed my lambs.” Again Jesus said, “Simon son of John, do you love me?” He answered, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Take care of my sheep.” The third time he said to him, “Simon son of John, do you love me?” Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time, “Do you love me?” He said, “Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Feed my sheep (John 21: 15-18).
 
Jesus kept writing on the heart of Peter about His call to become fishers of men. Peter was a very timid person. He betrayed Jesus during the night of His arrest. But Jesus knew what Peter would become. So He revealed to Peter that he would save souls. Just as Jesus said, Peter waited in the upper room for the anointing of the Holy Spirit. God sent His Spirit just as He said and being filled with the Spirit he ministered to 3000 people and they were added to the church on that day. Peter did mighty miracles and the church was established by him. Today, are you also wondering how God’s call will fulfil in your life? Just ask Jesus to reconfirm His will. God will surely show His plans that are bigger than yours and lead you through it.

Loving Lord,

Thank You for reminding of Your call on my life. Lord, confirm Your call to me once again by speaking to me again. Mould me for it. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and give me the power that I need to carry out Your call. Let Your will be done in my life. This I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.

The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me? (Psalm 118:6)
Are you in agony saying, ‘Oh, I suffer from headache’, or ‘I have this terrible disease’ and so on? Claim the promises of God for yourself. The Bible says in Proverbs 4:22, ‘they are life to those who find them and health to all their flesh’, so the Word of God will heal you. “Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday” (Psalm 91:1,4 & 6). Yes, the shadow of the Most High comes upon you; He covers you with His feathers; you have refuge under His mighty wings, He gives you the grace not to be afraid of any disease.

We may boldly say, “The Lord if my helper; I will not fear” (Hebrews 13:6. Psalm 118:6). “In God I trust and am not afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?” (Psalm 56:4). You too can says this! Like David when you cling on to Him firmly, He will remove all your fears. He will give you deliverance, healing and health in abundance. Several years back, the wife of a servant of God suffered from severe bleeding. The doctors who tested her advised for hysterectomy and her family too agreed for this since they feared that otherwise it might lead to cancer. However, being filled with the love of Jesus, she said in faith, “I have placed my entire trust in the Lord, who is able to heal me and so I am not afraid. He will surely grant me total recovery. He will give me good health.” According to her firm faith, the Lord had healed her completely. After many years, the doctor was amazed to see her in perfect health.

“Nevertheless, I will bring health and healing to it; I will heal my people and will let them enjoy abundant peace and security” (Jeremiah 33:6). How true is the promise of the Lord. Yes, He Himself had healed her so wonderfully that the doctor was amazed. The Lord has promised, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand” (Isaiah 41:10). Hold on to His promise firmly and you shall live with deliverance and good health. “For or no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God” (2 Corinthians 1:20).

Prayer:
Loving Lord,

I believe in Your promises for my life. I put my trust in You. Deliver me from this sickness. Free me from all my troubles. Give me good health and heal me. Let me be strengthened and enjoy the abundant life You have promised to give me. Thank You for Your promise that You will never leave my side. Uphold me by Your strong arm.

This I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.
 

The Lord has done great things for us; We are glad. (Psalm 126:3)
Our God is omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent. He is great and mighty. We read that people feared God seeing His great works. The people served the Lord all the days of Joshua, and all the days of the elders who survived Joshua, who had seen all the great work of the Lord which He had done for Israel (Judges 2:7). In the Old Testament, the works of the Lord were seen by all people. God brought plagues on the Egyptians to free the Israelites. He split the Red Sea for the Israelites to walk on dry ground. God drowned the Egyptians who tried to do the same so that the Egyptians who threatened them were no were to be found. God gave them victories after victories. God made the walls of Jericho to fall. God split the Jordan river for them to cross. God guided them by a pillar of cloud in the day and a pillar of fire in the night. Seeing all these awesome works of the Lord, people trusted in the Lord all the days of their life. Yes, when God does mighty things, we see His greatness in them and we worship Him in awe.

Once I read about Alexander the great, who went about conquering many cities. Whenever he conquered a city, he would say to the head of that town to build his statue and place it in the centre of the city. Once, he visited those cities as he was eager to see how they were faring. As he went from one city to another he was so glad to see his statue at the centre of every city. But, in one particular city, his statue was missing and this made him very angry. Immediately, he called all the elders of the city and shouted at them, “Where is my statue? Why hasn’t it been placed here?” They calmly replied, “Sir, please give us a moment.” And then they raised their voices and shouted, “Alexander”. Immediately, a bunch of boys came running to the centre of the city where everyone was standing. And the elders looked at Alexander and said, “Sir, we have not built your statue but, we have named our male children after you and made you a living legend.” Alexander was called Alexander the great because of the great victories he won and he was adored by people.

God was the One who made him great and God can still do great things for you too. In the New Testament, God did wonders through Jesus. Unlike parting the sea or bringing walls down, Jesus went about healing, delivering and blessing people. The greatest act of God was the salvation of souls through Jesus. Jesus died and paid the price for our redemption on the cross. We read that love is the greatest power of all. “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love” (1 Corinthians 13:13). The greatest love the world has ever seen is the love of Jesus. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends (John 15:13). God’s love for you is the greatest and He who gave His life for you, will He not give everything else for you and also do great things for you? He will surely do wonders for you so that you trust in His name all the days of your life.

Prayer:
Loving Lord,

I thank You for speaking to me through this word of blessing. Thank You for Your promise that just as You did mighty things for Your people, do great things for me too. One word from You is enough to change my situation and make me great. Let Your name be greatly praised through Your wonders in my life. This I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.

“He (The Lord) gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength.” (Isaiah 40:29)
All are likely to become “weak” or “dejected” at some point of time in their lives. Many people, when they reach the peak of their desperation, even contemplate to end their lives. But if only such people would look up to the Lord Jesus Christ who has the power to give them strength and set them free even at that time and pray to Him, He would surely give them power and increase their strength. He says, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” (Deuteronomy 31:6). So how much we should trust the Lord to make a way when we see no way and how much we should trust God to draw us out of our desperation. Are you afraid of the tasks you have to undertake at work or the people who are against you to bring you down? God says He will fight them for you. He will do all things for you.

Though the head of a family worked very hard, he could not get any promotion. So, he had to struggle very much to maintain his family expenses with his insufficient income. One day, he was sitting alone in his home feeling very desperate and dejected. At that time, a man passing by his house was carrying a small transistor radio in his hand. The Tamil song, “The Lord will wipe away your tears and guard you like the apple of His eye” was being aired at that time. So, he called that man and made him sit next to him and heard that whole song which was followed by a message by Bro. Dhinakaran. His words gave much comfort and consolation to his broken heart and the man with the radio also explained to him how he too had received the love of God in his life. This immediately inspired the head of the family to surrender his life to the Lord. He received the power and strength of God and his desperate situation changed and he was blessed by the Lord.

In the Bible too we see the life of Gideon. He was a fearful man. Yet God calls him a man of valor. God says to him, “Go in the strength you have and save Israel out of Midian’s hand. Am I not sending you?” (Judges 6:14). Yes, God is all we need beside us to do the impossible. God assures you today that the strength you have is enough. He says to you, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand” (Isaiah 41:10). With God’s strength you will run and not grow weary, you will walk and not grow faint (Isaiah 40:31).

Prayer:
Loving Father,

You are my strength. I love You for You will never leave my side. Grant me Your divine grace so that I can hold fast to You without giving place for any worries. Abide with me in times of crisis and fill me with Your divine power. In the mighty name of our Lord Jesus I pray, O Father, Amen.

“The LORD remembers us and will bless us” (Psalm 115: 12)
Jesus truly loves you and you are indeed not ordinary people. You are a special people to the Lord. “You are a chosen people.” (1 Peter 2:9) You are a chosen people among the millions of people. He has chosen you to be His people. Prophet Samuel says, to the people of Israel, “God has chosen you amidst the millions of people to be His people.” Yes, God has not forgotten you, He remembers you. When He remembers you, He blesses you and He increases you. “The LORD remembers us and will bless us: He will bless His people Israel, He will bless the house of Aaron, He will bless those who fear the LORD – small and great alike. May the LORD cause you to flourish, both you and your children” (Psalm 115: 12-14).

God will increase you to become a thousand (Isaiah 60:22). I believe that God is going to give you a thousand times increase, because you are chosen to be His special people. You have prayed unto Him; you have surrendered your life to Him and you have been made His own child; you have never given up the name of Jesus from your life. You have always set Jesus first. You have served the Lord. You have given your offerings to the Lord’s ministry so that it can be used to wipe away other people’s tears through the ministry. You have cared for the poor through the ministry. So, surely the Lord will remember you.

He knows you by name. “The people of Israel and the people of Judah together will go in tears to seek the Lord their God. They will ask the way to Zion and turn their faces toward it. They will come and bind themselves to the Lord in an everlasting covenant that will not be forgotten.” (Jeremiah 50: 4,5). Here the Lord talks about the people of Israel and the people of Judah; though they were all Jewish people chosen by God, they had split themselves, formed kingdoms, and had two different kings. But God always looked at them as one. Today, even in your family, your family may have grown and multiplied. One group may be serving the Lord and the other group may not. But God looks at the whole family; God looks at you as whole because He has chosen you and He has made everyone in your family as a special people. The Bible says, God will make all the members of your family to come together to seek Him and He will make you seek Him with tears; because only when you sow in tears, you can reap with joy (Psalm 126:5). God will increase you as a family.

Prayer:
Loving Father,

Remember me. Lord, You have chosen me and my family to be Your people so remember us Lord. Send thousand times blessing on us. Father, drive out everything of the flesh. Nothing should happen according to worldly standards in my life. Let everything happen according to Your heavenly standard. You are the God who calls into existence the things that do not exist. Now call every blessing in my life to spring forth from what does not exist. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

“Let the beloved of the Lord rest secure in him, for he shields him all day long, and the one the Lord loves rests between his shoulders” (Deuteronomy 33:12).
May the blessings of Benjamin in the Bible come upon you today. Benjamin was the last son of Jacob. Being the youngest son in the family he was loved by Jacob. The Lord also loved him. He was called God’s beloved. God chose to give him rest, security and became his defender. He shielded him all day long all through his life. God protected him from all his enemies and shouldered him. That is the same blessing God is giving you, my friend. The youngest member in our family is Katelyn Anna Dhinakaran and she is loved by everyone in the family. When I visited her after she was born, I held her on my shoulders and patted her and showed my love to her. She too held on to my finger with her tiny hands and showed her deep love toward me. Yes, we love little children and that is how God considers us as His little children and loves us deeply.

The Lord says to you, “You are my beloved”. Will be believe in His love for you and value His love with all your life? Hold on to Him in deep love like how Katie held on to me. When we show our love to God, God’s heart rejoices and He sings over us. His joy will heap His blessings upon our head. Just like how we would do as much as we can to take care of our dear little children, God will take care of all our needs. The Bible says, “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19). God will supply our needs according to heaven’s riches. Can you imagine how much that can be? It will be to you according to your faith (Matthew 9:29).

In the Bible we read about King Josiah who loved the Lord without measure, “Neither before nor after Josiah was there a king like him who turned to the LORD as he did-with all his heart and with all his soul and with all his strength, in accordance with all the Law of Moses” (2 Kings 23:25). King Hezekiah also held on to the Law of the Lord and carefully followed it. As a result when he fell mortally ill, God remembered his loyalty. He prayed to the Lord saying, “Remember now, O Lord, I beseech You, how I have walked before You in truth and with a whole heart and have done what is good in Your sight” (2 Kings 20:3). Because he held on to the Lord with all his love, the Lord added years to his life and made him live longer. He did what He had done to no one before King Hezekiah. Yes, God will show His awesome power and do the impossible for you too. His love will shoulder you and carry you all day long, all the days of your life.

Loving Father,

Thank You for letting me know how much You love me. Thank You for calling me Your beloved. Father, let me always be shielded by Your love all day long this day and all the days of my life. Help me to hold on to You and love You with all my heart and soul forever. Keep me faithful to Your love and do awesome things on behalf of me.

“A cord of three strands is not quickly broken” (Ecclesiastes 4:12).
The family life that is built around the Lord Jesus will not fail. We read in the Bible, “A cord of three strands is not quickly broken” (Ecclesiastes 4:12). Yes, when you bind yourselves with Jesus your family life will not be broken. You and your spouse should join hands everyday and seek the Lord in prayer. That is how you bind your lives with the Lord. Not just while seeking the Lord, you should be of the same spirit and of the same mind in the Lord. The Bible says, “Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one mind and purpose” (Philippians 2:2). You should agree with each other and only then you can take sound decisions for each other and for your children. Pray to God asking for unity in your family life.

Here is a testimony of a sister by the name Boomadevi John Peter from Kallikudi: “I got married in the year 2014. The happiness in our newly wedded life lasted only for six months. Due to witchcraft problems in the family, there were always difference of opinion and heated arguments between us. As days went by the situation worsened. I had to leave to my mother’s house. Due to this behaviour of mine, my husband got irritated and started hating me to the core. There was no communication between us. Finally it even went to the extent of filing for divorce. My mother’s family were totally shattered looking at my state.  My mother and I attended the 2015 New Year Blessing meeting in Chennai. During the prayer time, Dr.Paul Dhinakaran said, “Let all the devils that are working to break the families leave now.” That moment was glorious. Just then I felt a deep deliverance within me. A great peace filled my heart. Soon after that meeting, sister Evangeline Paul laid her hands on my head and prayed fervently saying, “Lord Jesus, let them live together as a family”. That same month I received a telephone call from my husband saying that he is coming back!  Now we are blessed with a baby boy. All glory to God.”

The Lord who blessed that sister will bless your family life too. Are you also facing unnecessary quarrels and fights in your home? Don’t be worried. No demon can spoil your life. The Bible says, “There is no divination against Jacob, no evil omens against Israel. It will now be said of Jacob and of Israel, ‘See what God has done!’” (Numbers 23:23). God will do mighty things for you. All you need to do is seek Him as the first thing in the morning. Ask Him to control you and your loved ones from conflicts. Make Jesus the head of your family and the ruler of your house. His peace will surely guard your hearts and minds in Him and you will have God dwelling in your midst.

Prayer:
Loving Father,

I give my family into Your hands. Be the head of my family and the ruler of my house. You control each one of us. Give us the grace to be at peace with each other. Let my family be a godly family. Dwell in our midst and bind us with you.

I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

“The Lord will surely comfort Zion and will look with compassion on all her ruins; he will make her deserts like Eden, her wastelands like the garden of the Lord. Joy and gladness will be found in her, thanksgiving and the sound of singing” (Isaiah 51:3).
What a great promise God gives us today! See how He gives us comfort and how He looks on us with compassion. When we are struggling, when we are ruined, He promises to change our circumstances. The Lord is all powerful, He is so great yet He cares about the brokenness of our life. If we were in a high position in life we wouldn’t care for the people who are low in society. Yet God is always on the side of the unprivileged. He comes down and looks into the suffering of our heart and He chooses to comfort us. He takes time to address right into our issue and give us hope.

In the Bible, Mary Magdalene came to the Lord in a broken state. She fell at the feet of Jesus and cried, “Lord, my life is ruined. Everyone is looking down on me and casting me away.” The Lord took time to wipe away her tears with His encouraging words that where His gospel is preached what she had done for Him will be told in remembrance of her love for the Lord (Matthew 26:13). God did not just forgive her sins but He also promised her a bright future. God turned her life upside down. Jesus did not just console her but He praised her for her love. He said, “Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven-as her great love has shown. But whoever has been forgiven little loves little” (Luke 7:47). Jesus claimed that she loved the Lord even more than His disciples or people who were close to Him because she knew how great was His love toward her. No wonder God chose her to be the first one to see Him after He rose again.

The Lord looks at our heart unlike people who look at outward things. He values the condition of our heart so that He can treat us with His love. Today, He promises that He will rebuild your life. He says to you, “Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool” (Isaiah 1:18). The Lord will not just forgive you but make you as white as snow which is to be flawless. He will make you flawless not just without sins but will also bless you with a flawlessly beautiful life. He promises that He will make you like the Garden of Eden where everything was perfect. Yes, God will lead you into that perfect state even today. He will fill your heart with joy so that you overflow with thanksgiving before Him.

Prayer:
Loving Father,

Thank You for this great promise that You will make me like the Garden of Eden and change my situation. Forgive my shortcomings and make me as white as snow. Make me flawless before You and also bless me with a flawless, beautiful life that You have promised me today. Let me enjoy Your perfect blessings. I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.

“Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love” (Ephesians 4:2).
Are worried that you are not able to see your loved one being delivered from their addictions? God says to you, “I tell you, now is the time of God’s favour, now is the day of salvation” (2 Corinthians 6:2). Are you finding it difficult because of people who are trying to hinder the godly family life you want to enjoy? The Bible says, “Whoever is patient has great understanding, but one who is quick-tempered displays folly” (Proverbs 14:29). We have to be patient with the people who persecute us by their godless behaviour. We shouldn’t become quick tempered and act out in anger. We read in the Bible, “Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love” (Ephesians 4:2). This is how we influence people to bring them to God’s fold.

In a family, the Lord had blessed a wife with a very loving husband.  But he was a alcoholic. The wife loved the Lord dearly and hence was showing love to her  husband being filled with patience and the strength of the Lord and humbly doing whatever the husband asked her to do. One day, when he was thus enjoying himself in his friends company and taking liquor, she served them with food and went into her room, knelt  down and started praying with both her hands raised up. With faith she cried out to the Lord saying, “Lord, please look at my condition. Won’t you save my husband?” At that exact moment the husband who was pleasurably spending his time with his friends sent them off and came back to thank her. Her room was open and he was moved by the sight of his wife praying with tears telling, “Lord, draw my husband towards You. Give him the grace to taste Your love.” He did not know what to do. In that instant the Lord touched his heart and he too knelt down beside his wife and folded his hands in prayer. The Lord changed his heart. Since then, his lust for alcohol, all unwanted desires and evil friends departed from his life. He became a new man.

Today is the day when the Lord’s love would be manifested in your family in a similar manner. The mighty God who changed Saul into Paul and who received that man who was filled with transgression and sin, wants to do a miracle in your life. We read in the Bible, “Wives, in the same way submit yourselves to your own husbands so that, if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over without words by the behaviour of their wives, when they see the purity and reverence of your lives” (1 Peter 3:1-2). Not just wives but all of us can win people who are away from God only through our behaviour. When we show them the love of God they will definitely change. Then our family will be full of God’s presence.

Prayer:
Loving Father,

Thank You for this assurance that there is deliverance in Your name. Lord, deliver my loved ones from all their weaknesses. Let Your presence fill our home. Bind us all with Your cords of love. Give us grace to be Your special people by walking in Your ways. Make us a godly family.
