Blessing Message

“But the meek will inherit the land and enjoy peace and prosperity.” (Psalm 37:11)
 
Dear friend, I greet you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Today’s word of truth is from Psalm 37:11, “But the meek will inherit the land and enjoy peace and prosperity.” This same truth is talked about by Lord Jesus in Matthew 5:5, “Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.” This is the quality of Jesus Christ. If you read Matthew 11:29 Lord Jesus says, “Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” Psalm 145:8 says, “The LORD is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love.”

If you see Moses, he was just like how Jesus explained for we read in Numbers 12:3, “Now Moses was a very humble man, more humble than anyone else on the face of the earth.” The Lord was pleased with him. He used him mightily to fulfill His will. Psalm 147:6 says, “The LORD sustains the humble.” Psalm 149:4 says, “For the LORD takes delight in his people; he crowns the humble with victory.” So what should you do to receive humility and the nature of God? The Bible says in James 1:21, “Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you.”
Hebrews 12:1,2 also says, “let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Yes, you have to look to the Lord. Gradually His nature will come on you and you will be blessed. He will fill you with the fruit and gifts of the Holy Spirit giving you His character and making you a blessing to others.

Loving Father,

Help me to have this good quality of Yours. Fill me with meekness. Through that let me have peace and joy in my relationships. Cleanse me and change my heart. Help me reflect You and shine for Your glory.

“If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.” (Matthew 21:22)
Hello friend! It is such a joy to share God’s word with you. Today, we are going to meditate on the promise verse, which is in Mathew 21:22. This Scripture says “If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.” Yes my friend, when you believe and pray, God will definitely give whatever you ask for. Many times when you pray, you doubt the power of God. There may be several questions in your mind – will God answer me? will he be able to give it to me? will my heart’s desires be met? You may also sometimes doubt if God is big enough to do this for you. Though you have heard powerful testimonies from other people, you still wonder if it would happen in your life.

Even if you pray and talk to God, you continue to have many doubts at heart, but look at what this scripture says: “If you believe, whatever you ask for will be given to you.” The Bible says in John 15:7 “If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.” This is the chief secret my friend! Whenever you pray, seek for the will of God and not your own selfish or fleshly desires. God has a great plan, which is there to give you an excellent future.
Therefore, pray according to God’s will and believe that he has something marvellous planned for you. When you pray in this manner, your prayers will be answered and your life will be full of peace. From today, make it a point to pray in line with the will of God and believe without any doubt. God will never fail to give you what you ask for.

My loving heavenly Father,

Thank you for this wonderful promise word you have given me. Take away my unbelief and instill strong faith in me. Help me Lord to always seek your will for my life and pray according to it. When I pray, help me to have faith that you will answer my prayers.

“….your grief will turn to joy.” (John 16:20)
 
Dear friend, today’s promise from God is from John 16:20, “Very truly I tell you, you will weep and mourn while the world rejoices. You will grieve, but your grief will turn to joy.” What a wonderful verse this is! It is such a comforting verse to all of us. The Lord says, “No matter how long you have been grieving and how many tears you have shed all of them will be turned into joy. This is the same thing that happened in Hannah’s life in the Bible. Hannah was so upset and heartbroken that she did not have a child. She used to cry all the time. People used to make fun of her. But in just a day the Lord changed everything.

God turned all her grief into joy. The Bible says in Psalm 30:5, “weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.” In the same place where you are grieving the Lord is going to fill you with joy. Sometimes you might wonder, “I have been grieving for so long. How ill this ever change?” But when you hold on to this promise surely your grief will turn into joy. I have seen in my close circle how people who have lost a loved one, especially my aunt when she lost her husband there was lot of grief. They were such a lovely couple and I couldn’t see them suffer. There was so much of sadness but the Lord comforted her. Even in the midst of the grief there was joy. Even though she was feeling sad she was able to rejoice in the Lord.

In the same way, the Lord is going to turn your grief into joy. The Bible says in Psalm 126:5 & 6, “Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy. Those who go out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with them.” May be you are weeping because of the shame you have gone through and the hurtful speech of people. May be you have not seen the promises of God fulfill in your life yet. May be you are struggling because of a weakness in your body but whatever your sorrow is, continue to hold to the truth that the night will break into day and surely your darkness will turn into light. You will rejoice.
Prayer:
Loving Father,

You are aware of my waiting for a blessing and You have seen my tears. Thank You for Your promise that You will turn my tears into joy. Thank You for You will turn my darkness into light. Give me the grace to testify of Your goodness. All glory be to You.

“Even in darkness light dawns for the upright.” (Psalm 112:4)
 
My friend, the promise word for today is given to us from Psalm 112:4. This verse says “Even in darkness light dawns for the upright.” The Israelites were lead out of Egypt by God. When they had reached the Red Sea, suddenly they saw that they were being followed by Pharaoh and his armies to be killed. The Bible says in Exodus 14:19 that immediately the pillar of cloud, which was traveling in front of the children of Israel, withdrew and stood behind them to protect them. It separated the Israelites from the Egyptians, who had come to kill them. This pillar of cloud was darkness to the Egyptians, but to the Israelites, light came from this pillar of cloud to direct them in the way that they should go.

Do you know who this pillar of cloud is? It is none other than Jesus! We read about it in John 8:12. The Scripture says “Jesus said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” In Isaiah 42 verse 16, God says “I will lead the blind by ways they have not known; I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth. These are the things I will do; I will not forsake them.”
Again, The Bible says in Isaiah 60:2 “Darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples.” Does this not look like the present situation that is surrounding us with the pandemic? However, the same verse ends with an assurance from God saying: “but the LORD rises upon you and his glory appears over you.” Yes my friend, however dark your situation maybe, God will shine His light  and glory upon you. Therefore, “Arise and shine for your light has come!”

My loving heavenly Father,

I thank you for today’s promise word. Lord you know the situation that is surrounding me. I ask you to be the light in me and turn every darkness into light today.

“I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.” (Jeremiah 31:3)
Dear friend, today the Lord says in Jeremiah 31:3, “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.” The connecting verse is from Hosea 11:4, “I led them with cords of human kindness, with ties of love. To them I was like one who lifts a little child to the cheek, and I bent down to feed them.” Whenever I used to lift our little granddaughter Katie, I used to lift her to my cheeks and I would feed her with all love. She would enjoy me and forget herself and have her food.

Yes, from today onwards you are going to feel God’s love more closer. God fed the Israelites also in the same way. This is the loving kindness of God, dear friend. During my mom’s first anniversary I was crying a lot thinking of her. Then when I was reading the Bible, the Lord showed me 1 Thessalonians 4:13,14, “Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.”
The above word of God came exactly to me that day to comfort me. This is the loving kindness of God. He sends the right word, the right people and the right circumstances in our life at the right time. His ways are perfect (Psalm 18:30). His love for us is perfect (1 John 4:18) and His perfect love casts out all our fear. Out of His unfailing love He will provide us all that we need. He will only do exceedingly, abundantly more than we can ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20). There will never be a moment God’s everlasting love will fail you. Even today, allow this love to fill your heart.

Loving Father,

Whether I sit or rise up, whatever I do help me feel Your everlasting love. Thank You for the promise that You have loved me always. Let Your abundant love flow into my heart. Let Your Word come to me everyday and let me be drawn close to You by Your loving kindness.

The Lord blesses his people with peace. (Psalm 29:11)
Hello friend! Today’s promise is taken from Psalm 29:11. This verse says “The Lord blesses his people with peace.” Yes my friend, true to today’s promise, the lord is going to bless you with peace. You may be wondering if this is even possible with the kind and number of problems you are facing, with which you have been suffering for a long time. However, according to this verse, the Lord promises that he is going to give you peace.

I am reminded of a story when I read the word ‘peace.’ One day a painting competition was arranged and the theme of that competition was ‘peace.’ The participants were asked to draw the image that comes to their mind when they think about peace. The participants excitedly drew different kinds of pictures; some drew mountains and few others drew flowers. The judge of the competition inspected the various drawings and gave the price to 1 participant. What do you think was there in that picture? The winner had drawn the image of roaring thunderstorm and rain and amidst the turmoil there was a family of birds sitting on a tree. The birds were undisturbed by the storm and were happily chirping together as a family.
In a similar manner, you may have a lot of problems surrounding you – maybe financial crunch or the deadly pandemic. Nonetheless, the Lord promises to bless you with peace even in this terrible situation. Just like that painting where the family of birds was happy, when the peace of Jesus fills your life, you will be happy and blessed. You can read about this divine peace in John 14:27. “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” The Lord will not only bless you with divine peace but also turn your situation for the better.

My loving heavenly Father,

I thank you for today’s promise word. Yes Lord, I am surrounded by many problems and the present situation. However, I surrender my life to you and I believe that you are going to bless me with peace beyond all understanding and turn my situation for the better.

“For the LORD will rebuild Zion and appear in his glory.” (Psalm 102:16)
Dear friend, today God’s Word for you today is from Psalm 102:16, “For the LORD will rebuild Zion and appear in his glory.” Yes, my friend, God is going to rebuild you. Today, you might say that in every aspect of your life, you are broken. Your heart might be broken by the words of people or loneliness or rejection or pain or unprofitable business or failures in life because your not getting through in your exam or not able to do your work well or because you are not able to satisfy your family members, or because you lost peace in your family or you are not having your expectations fulfilled or because you don’t have good health and you might be completely broken that your heart is aching, but as God promises you today, He will rebuild you.

God will rebuild Zion which is the place where God desires to dwell. God loves to dwell in you. You are His Zion. You are the place He loves to dwell in. So He will rebuild you. He will not allow you to be broken as you are now. He will change your circumstances. He will give you a beautiful life. In the Bible, we see how God rebuilt everything that was His. Whenever people went away from God, He allowed them to be broken so He could rebuild them. One such person was David. He sinned against God and God had to take his firstborn. But God blessed him with Solomon who He chose to be the king after David.
Similarly, God built the calling of Peter. He called Peter to carry the cross and fish people. But Peter forgot God’s calling after His death and went back to fishing. You might also have forgotten God’s call because of the hardships you have faced. May be you’re wondering if the anointing and the purpose of God has been taken away from your life. But God’s Word says in Romans 11:29, “God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable.” Just like how God restored the joy of salvation in David’s life and called Peter back to shepherd His church, He is calling you and building your life again. So rejoice in this and thank God for His promise.

Loving Father,

You know the brokenness of my heart. Change my brokenness and fill my heart with Your joy. Restore Your anointing in my life. Build my faith, my joy and my calling again and help me to do Your will and may I be the Zion You long to dwell in.

“The LORD bless you and keep you.” (Numbers 6:24)
 
Dear friend, I am glad to share God’s word with you. Today is special in our family as my son Dr. Paul Dhinakaran and Evangeline are remembering their wedding anniversary. They are entering the 32nd year of married life. Pray for them on this day. Today’s promise from God is from Numbers 6:24, “The LORD bless you and keep you.” God has a mind to bless His people. He will never curse or do any harm for His children.  We see in the Bible that Abraham was going in his own way. He never knew anything about God Almighty. But God appeared to him and made him His friend.

2 Chronicles 20:7 says, “Our God, did you not drive out the inhabitants of this land before your people Israel and give it forever to the descendants of Abraham your friend?” James 2:23 also says, “And the scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,” and he was called God’s friend.” Isaiah 41:8 says, “”But you, Israel, my servant, Jacob, whom I have chosen, you descendants of Abraham my friend.” Yes the word of God quotes over and over again that Abraham was a friend of God.
In the same way, if you see the life of David, he too had a close communion with the Lord. That’s why he writes, the descendants of the righteous will be blessed (Psalm 37:26). They were all leading a righteous life. That’s why they were blessed as a family with all their descendants being blessed. In the same way, we see that Job was a righteous person yet he faced a lot of troubles. Amidst his trials he says, “Though he slay me, yet will I hope in him.” (Job 13:15) His hope was that he will come out shining as gold after he comes out of the trial (Job 23:10). Similarly, cling on to God everyday and put your hope on Him. Then God will bless you with everything even spiritual blessings.

Loving Father,

Bless me and help me experience Your power in my life. Help me receive all kinds of blessings including spiritual blessings and everything I need. Make me shine for Your glory. Bless me and keep me according to Your promise. Thank You for after You have tested me I shall come forth as gold.

“The Lord will guide you always.” (Isaiah 58:11)
Hello my dear friend! Today’s promise is taken from Isaiah 58:11. This verse says “The Lord will guide you always.” In another translation, The Bible says “The Lord will guide you continually.” Firstly, you must know that it is the Lord who is guiding you continually. The Lord Jesus is your father a very loving father, but he is also the Almighty God. He is God in flesh. I Timothy 3:16 says he is God manifested as human being. It is true my friend.

If you read John chapter 21, Jesus stood on the shore of the Sea of Galilee. This happened after Jesus was resurrected from the dead. The disciples were separated from Jesus. Therefore, they decided among themselves to go back to their fishing trade. Since Jesus had died and was not with them, they went back to the fishing to get food for themselves. They were fishing the whole night, but they could not catch a single fish. Your efforts go futile when you do not fulfill God’s purpose. Yes my friend, you need to obey the Lord always and do his will always. Jesus stood on the shore watching his exhausted disciples, who could not catch a single fish after fishing the entire night. Jesus called them and do you know what he said? He said “My children, do you have anything to eat?” The moment they heard his voice, John who was always leaning on the bosom of Jesus aid ‘that is the voice of our Lord.’ They could not recognize him by sight but when they heard his loving voice, they said this is the Lord.

Yes! He is the Lord, who can do anything. His purpose will never go unfulfilled. Jesus loved them and called them “my children.” Even today, he calls you ‘my little daughter/my loving son, do you have anything to eat? Are you hungry?’ He knows you very well my friend. He is a loving father. He will not let you down and he comes to you today. You may have tried your best to earn your living, tried your best to carry your family, or put all your efforts to succeed in your exams, work, life or ministry. Maybe you haven’t succeeded in anything, but Jesus is there on the shore calling you ‘my child, I want you to eat the fruit of your labor. I want you to have success.’ After that Jesus told the disciples “My children cast your nets on the other side of the boat.” Behold! When he said it, a huge quantity of fish came into the net that they could not haul their fishing net back to the shore. He is the Lord and what he says comes to pass. He will make a way for you so do not be afraid. When they came to him with their nets filled with fish, Jesus had already prepared the breakfast. He had already cooked fish for them even before they could give the fish they had caught. Similarly, God will provide for you and supply all your needs according to his riches in glory through Christ Jesus. Make him the Lord of your life and just praise him.

My loving heavenly Father,

Thank you for this beautiful promise word. You are the Lord of my life. I firmly believe you have a way for me and I surrender myself completely to your will. Thank you Lord for you will provide for my every need according to your richest. Help me glorify you always.

“Then those who feared the LORD talked with each other, and the LORD listened and heard. A scroll of remembrance was written in his presence concerning those who feared the LORD and honored his name.” (Malachi 3:16)
Dear friend, God is ready to give you His promise today which is from Malachi 3:16, “Then those who feared the LORD talked with each other, and the LORD listened and heard. A scroll of remembrance was written in his presence concerning those who feared the LORD and honored his name.” Are you saying, “I am afraid Lord. I am afraid of this Covid-19. Will this virus affect my body or my family? I am afraid that I will lose my life. What will happen to my job Lord? I am afraid that I will lose my job. I am terrified of facing tomorrow Lord. I am terrified to waking up to what will happen.”

My friend, to those who fear the Lord God comforts us by saying that our names are written on the scroll of remembrance. You have feared the Lord and walked with Him amidst all these fears. You have given your life to be led by the Lord. Know that your name is written in the scroll and that the Lord always remembers you. As He remembers you, because He thinks about you, you will not die. You will not be destroyed. Your life has a prosperous end according to Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Psalm 56:8 says your tears are also recorded in His book, “Record my misery; list my tears on your scroll — are they not in your record?” He remembers all the tears you have shed and thinks about them. His answer is coming today, His answers of deliverance and blessing. That is your end. Pray and get into this assurance. “No harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent. With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.” (Psalm 91:10, 16) You will have a prosperous, protected and long life. Don’t be afraid. God is watching over you and He will preserve your life (Psalm 121:7).

Loving Lord Jesus,

Strengthen my heart Lord. Thank You for Your promise that You will bless me with a long life. Thank You for You have a prosperous end in store for me. Thank You for You have recorded my tears. Thank You Lord for You are my Protector. Thank You for You will preserve my life. I put my complete trust in Your promise. Be glorified in my life.
