Blessing Message

“But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.” (2 Thessalonians 3:3)
My precious friend, today’s promise of God is from 2 Thessalonians 3:3, “But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.” The Lord is faithful even though we are unfaithful. God has been gracious to pull us out of our weaknesses every time we have been unfaithful. He has not forsaken us. How much we should thank Him. Secondly, He pulls us out of our weaknesses and strengthens us. He will protect us from the evil one. The evil one is like a roaring lion waiting to devour those who have fallen from God. But God is faithful to not hand us over to the hands of the evil one.

God is faithful to pull us back. He will strengthen us and place us on solid rock. He has done it for you and for me. Let us thank Him for this mercy and let us expect Him to keep us strong in Him. How is this possible? Jesus says in Matthew 6:13 that we should pray that we don’t fall into temptation, “And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.” So every day pray that you will be delivered from temptation and evil. He will give you the grace to enjoy it. The Holy Spirit will come and strengthen you in your weakness.
According to Romans 8:26, “In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.” The Bible says in 1 Thessalonians 5:22,24, “reject every kind of evil. May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it.” Yes, God will keep you blameless in spirit, soul and body till Jesus comes. May God give you that grace. You are eligible to have it as you are His child.

Loving Father,

May Your faithfulness be on me today. I pray that You protect me from the evil one and keep me faithful to You. Keep my spirit, soul and body blameless till Your coming.

“Wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of your times and strength of salvation; the fear of the LORD is his treasure.” (Isaiah 33:6)
My dear friend, today the Lord is going to bless you with so many blessings. My granddaughter Katie is celebrating her birthday today. Let me put the blessings of today’s promise verse on you dear friend and also on Katie. The promise for this day is from Isaiah 33:6. This verse says: “Wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of your times and strength of salvation; the fear of the LORD is his treasure.” Proverbs 1:7 says: “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.”

There was a king named Hezekiah, who ruled the land of Judah. King Hezekiah literally despised God’s wisdom and instruction. He even never bothered about the presence of the Lord. When the king of Assyria came against him in war, he took the treasures of the temple of God and gave them to that king because of the fear of man. In II Kings 18:15-16, The Bible says so. He never cared for the presence of God. However, the Bible says ‘if you hear the Lord, he will give you wisdom, knowledge, and salvation.’
The Lord Jesus had special anointing like this. Because he feared God, Jesus was blessed with the special anointing. In Isaiah 11:2, The Bible says: “The Spirit of the LORD will rest on him – the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of might, the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the LORD.” Today, I pray that the Lord should give you such special anointing. Come let us pray for it.
Prayer:
My loving heavenly Father,

I thank you for the promise word that you have given me today. I commit my life to you. Give me the grace to always fear you and walk in your ways. As you have promised, bless me with wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. Let your special anointing come up on me. I thank you Lord for you are going to bless me in this manner.

“you were called so that you may inherit a blessing.” 1 Peter 3:9
Dear friend, I greet you in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Today God has a beautiful promise for you which is from 1 Peter 3:9, “you were called so that you may inherit a blessing.” Abraham was a man of God. According to Ezekiel 33:24, “Abraham was only one man, yet he possessed the land. But we are many; surely the land has been given to us as our possession.” How was Abraham able to posses the land? If you read Romans 4:13 it says, “It was not through the law that Abraham and his offspring received the promise that he would be heir of the world, but through the righteousness that comes by faith.”

Yes, Abraham possessed the inheritance through the righteousness that comes by faith. 1 Corinthians 6:9,10 talks about people who will not inherit the kingdom of God, “Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men, nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.” 1 Corinthians 15:50 also talks about those who will not inherit God’s kingdom, “I declare to you, brothers and sisters, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.”

So who can inherit the kingdom of God? Titus 3:5-7 says, “he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life.” That’s why Peter says in Acts 2:38, ““Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit” By getting baptized with water and the Holy Spirit, we inherit God’s kingdom. Yes, Revelation 21:7 says, “Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children.” So let’s repent, get filled with the Holy Spirit and become God’s children inheriting all blessings.
Prayer:
Loving Lord Jesus,

Help me to inherit all Your blessings through faith. Give me the grace not to sin against You. Cleanse me with Your blood. I repent of all my ways. Make me Your child. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. Transform my life. Let me become like You.

“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” (Ephesians 2:10)
Dear friend, it is a joy to bring God’s word to you. God’s word for meditation is from Ephesians 2:10, “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Yes, my friend, God has created you to do good works. So whatever you do, give your best to do good to others. Love everyone as yourself. Yes, my friend, in whatever you do, whether in word or in deed do it for the glory of God as it says in Colossians 3:17, “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” 

Every single project you do at work, every single task you do, every conversation you have with your friend, every single word you study for your exam and every single way you take care of your family, in everything that you do give your best. Do good for the glory of God. When you do that, God will honor you. You might say, “I don’t have many talents, opportunities or skill.”  But start small with the little that you have. It might be making someone laugh, taking care of somebody, counseling somebody or teaching somebody what you know, so start small with what you have.
Yes, give your best in doing good to others. God is going to give you that strength from today. Rejoice for the purpose God has created you which is to do good works for His glory. In the Bible, we have classic examples of people who did good with the little they had. Joseph did his best whether in prison or at work. David did his best in caring for the sheep and taking food for his brothers. He obeyed God in little things. The little boy with five loaves and two fishes gave the little he had to God. Even when you do the little things with great love for God and people, you too will succeed and bring glory to God. Decide to do your best from today. God bless you.

Loving Lord Jesus,

Reveal Your purpose for my life to me. How should I use what I have? Show me ways in which I can glorify Your name. Help me to love and care for others. Bless the little things I do and help me to do it to the best of my ability.

“The LORD is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation.” (Psalm 118:14)
Hello friend! Today’s promise is taken from Psalm 118:14. This verse says, “The Lord is my strength and my defense. He has become my salvation.” Today is also very special day in Jesus Calls. This was the day in which Junior EPG was started in the year 2016. Junior EPG is where young girls from 8 to 15 years of age come together once a month and pray for the prayer points given by Dr. Stella Dhinakaran. This verse in general is for everyone but very specially for young people. The Lord is your strength, your defense and your salvation.

I held on to this verse when I delivered my daughter Katie. There is another verse in Philippians 4:13, which says “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Whenever I have a hard time with Katie, I always remember this verse. The Lord reminds me that He would strengthen me. When Katie was a newborn baby, her sleep time used to be different, I didn’t know how to feed her and many things were very difficult. The Lord strengthened me through this verse. He told me ‘Shilpa, I gave you this baby; you will surely be able to take care of her because I will strengthen you.’ Many times, I have cried out to him saying ‘I don’t know what to do, I don’t know how to care take care of my child, and I don’t have the strength to do it; please strengthen me Lord.’
In the same way, the Lord is going to do it for you. According to today’s promise, the Lord will be your strength and your defense. He will strengthen and protect you. Maybe you are in situations where you need to go out for work and feeling scared to go out. The Lord is telling you that he is your strength. You may be scared that you might be abused in a relationship, but the Lord says that he is your defense. Take courage my friend. Be happy when you are weak because that is when God’s strength fills you.

My loving heavenly Father,

I thank you for the promise verse. I surrender my life along with all my weaknesses and problems to you. Be my strength and salvation. Thank you Lord for you will be my defense and protect me against all evil.

“Their children will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed.” (Psalm 112:2)
Dear friend, God’s promise to you today is from Psalm 112:2, “Their children will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed.” If you read the previous verse it says, “Blessed are those who fear the LORD, who find great delight in his commands.” Those who fear the Lord will be blessed and their children will be mighty in the land. Their generations will be blessed. Who is an upright person? A person who does the will of God is an upright person. A person who does not lust for the things of the world but who waits for God’s blessings to be poured into his/her life is an upright person.

A person who is able to sacrifice every pleasure the world may offer, who patiently goes through suffering which is unjust but yet waits for God’s chastening to be transformed into the image of God, a person who is just like Jesus forgiving those who hurt him/her, a person who waits for miracles from God for multiplication of blessings in one’s life waiting until the last moment of need such an upright person will have his/her children blessed. Sometimes the person who is upright might not enjoy all the blessings and the fruits but the blessing comes upon their children.
The children may not even ask, seek or strive or work hard for the blessings but blessings will be poured on the children because of the covenant made with the upright parents. So the covenant will stay with them and increase the blessings in their life. Your uprightness will be a blessing for the coming generations. Your children shall be blessed and they shall increase with blessings. According to Psalm 112:3, “Wealth and riches are in their houses, and their righteousness endures forever.” Yes, blessings of health and wealth will abide in the lives of your children. So be of good cheer.
Prayer:
Loving Father,

Fulfill this promise. Bless my children. Give me and my children a godly nature. Help me to be patient and to wait for Your blessings. Help me to live like You forgiving those who hurt me. Let my family and my generations’ wealth and righteousness endure forever.

“I will take you as my own people, and I will be your God.” (Exodus 6:7)
Dear friend, today the Lord is promising and saying to you that you are his treasured possession. In Exodus 6:7, I will take you as my own people, and I will be your God. Not only that, in Deuteronomy 7:6, the Bible says “The Lord your God has chosen you to be his treasured possession.” After I got married, my mother said, ‘the Lord has chosen my daughter, so she is entering into the royal family of God. Therefore she will be like a queen in that family.’

The Bible also says in Isaiah 49:23 “Kings will be your foster fathers and their queens your nursing mothers.” Yes my friend, when you enter into the royal family of God, you will be treated like kings and queens. In Isaiah 60:16 the Scripture says “You will drink the milk of nations and be nursed at royal breasts.”  This is the kind of royal treatment and honor you will be given.

When I first entered into Canada, I was very anxious thinking what we would do because we did not have a house there and we were with nothing in our hands. I was much worried how we would lead our family life. On that day, the Lord showed me the verse that is in Genesis 45:18. In this verse, Pharaoh – the king of Egypt says to Joseph: “Bring your father and your families to me. I will give you the best of the land of Egypt and you can enjoy the fat of the land.” Even today, you may be saying that you have nothing in your hands and financially struggling. However, because the Lord has chosen you as his own child and treasured possession, every goodness will have to come to you dear friend.

My loving heavenly Father,

Thank you for the promise word you have given me today. I am so happy that I am your treasured possession. I give you thanks because you will not let me lack anything in my life and I will be blessed by you.

“You will also declare a thing, And it will be established for you; So light will shine on your ways.” Job 22:28
Dear friend, God’s promise to you for today is from Job 22:28, “You will also declare a thing, And it will be established for you; So light will shine on your ways.” Whatever you declare to happen in your life, it will be established for you. If you read Job 22:23 it says, “If you return to the Almighty, you will be restored: If you remove wickedness far from your tent”, whatever you declare it will be established. Whatever your hands finds to do, it will be blessed. Only condition is – return to the Lord Almighty and be far from wickedness and evil. Then, God will restore you to have everything as you declare.

Secondly, the Bible says, “Let your path be full of light.” When will your path be full of light? If you read Psalm 119:105 the scripture says, “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.” When God’s Word comes to us, we declare that into being and that comes into being. Then whatever we do will be established. Proverbs 6:23 says, “For this command is a lamp, this teaching is a light, and correction and instruction are the way to life.” One side you have God’s command and the other side you have the teaching of the Holy Spirit in your spirit. As you walk in it, you will have light.
In the Bible we see how Saul who became Paul was walking in darkness. He was persecuting the church. He was ignorant of Jesus and was bearing witness to the death of Stephen. On his way to Damascus, the light of Jesus shone from the sky and he heard God’s voice calling out to him saying, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?” Those words of Jesus transformed his life and he came into the light of Christ. Later, he writes “I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people.” (Ephesians 1:18) The light of Jesus enlightened the eyes of his heart and he understood God’s calling and fulfilled it. You too are going to be enlightened in your heart as you return to God, choose to walk by God’s commands and the teaching of the Holy Spirit from today. 
Prayer:
Loving Father,

Help me to return to You. Take away my weaknesses and strengthen me. Help me to hear Your voice in my spirit from today. Help me to walk by it. Help me to declare Your will in my life and let it be established. Bless this day Lord.

“They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength.” (Isaiah 40:31)
My precious child, I greet you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Today, we are going to meditate on Isaiah 40:31.  It says “They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength.” Do you know what the meaning of waiting upon the Lord is? It is waiting at the feet of the Lord with a prayerful mind. David says in Psalm 5:3 I will wait upon the Lord, look unto him, and he will hear my voice. When I look up on God, he will speak to me. That should be your hope also. This is what we read in Psalm 121:1-2. The verse in Psalm 147:11 says, “The Lord delights in those who fear him, who put their hope in his unfailing love.” According to Proverbs 20:22, the Lord saves the people who wait upon Him.

Isaiah 40:31 says “They that wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles.” The Bible says in Isaiah 49:23, “Kings will bow down before you with their faces to the ground.” In Isaiah 64:4 we read “Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides you, who acts on behalf of those who wait for him.”
There was a man named Cornelius. We read about him in Acts 10. He was a gentile and not a Jew, but he was praying with his family all the time. Because of that, God arranged for his disciple Peter to come and visit him and spend time with him and his family and friends. Through that, they all received God’s power and strength through the Holy Spirit of the Lord. My child, wait upon the Lord whenever you have time to spare. The Lord will also fill you with the power through the Holy Spirit of God.
Prayer:
My loving heavenly Father,

Thank you for today’s promise word. As per this promise, I am waiting at your feet.  Lord, please fill me with your Holy Spirit. With your Holy Spirit in me, I know I will receive all that I need and not lack in anything. Thank you Lord for you will answer my prayers.

“being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 1:6)
Dear friend, God’s promise for today is from Philippians 1:6, “being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” This is such a beautiful verse isn’t it? The Lord says, “Don’t worry. Whatever I begin in your life I will carry it on till the end.” Many times we have seen how people in a race make sure they complete the race or the marathon they are running, even when they are tired and not able to compete. Even if it takes a long time they will complete. The Lord too says, “I am with you. I will complete whatever I start in your life.”

When does this promise start in your life? It has started ever since you were formed in your mother’s womb. God says, “I knew you ever since you were formed in your mother’s womb. I have started my work in your life since then and I will carry it on.” Everything is preplanned. The Bible says in Job 42:2, “I know that you can do all things; no purpose of yours can be thwarted.” Whatever the Lord has planned in your life, it will surely come to pass. Whatever blessing has to come in your life, it will surely come to pass. Nothing or no one can stop it from happening.
The only thing we have to do is surrender our lives to God. We have to tell Him, “Lord, take over my life. Take control over me and let everything happen according to your will.” Sometimes we feel that what we know is better than God’s thoughts for us. We will be telling God, “Lord I want this to happen. I want this mark in my exam. I want to do this next in my life.”  But the Lord says, “I know what’s best for you.” He will surely carry it on to completion. Thank God and believe this promise concerning your life.

Thank You for the beautiful promise that You’ll carry Your purpose to completion in my life. I give my life into Your hands. I submit myself to Your will. Take over my life and be the head of my life. Let every blessing You have for me come to pass in my life. Let there be showers of blessing in my life.
