Obey and be Blessed – Shilpa Dhinakaran

“You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out.” (Deuteronomy 28:6)
Hello friend today’s promise is taken from Deuteronomy 28:6. This verse says “You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out.” Wherever you are and wherever you go, the Lord says you will be blessed. It is because you are the child of God. The Lord loves to bless His children. The Lord loves to see us happy and blessed. This book of The Bible was written during times when people used to go for war. Therefore, this verse was very at for them because even when they go out from the house and when they come back, the Lord would bless them.
 
When you look at Deuteronomy chapter 28, it is full of God’s blessing. The verse 2 of this chapter speaks about the criteria to inherit these blessings. It says “All these blessings will come on you and accompany you if you obey the voice of the Lord your God.” From this we know, that the only thing that we have to do is obey the voice of the Lord. Then, the Lord will bless you abundantly.
When children are obedient, their parents are so happy, shower their love upon them and even give gifts. In the same way, the Lord will be very happy when you obey Him and He will bless you abundantly. Today, tell the Lord that you will be an obedient child. The Lord will rejoice over you and bless you abundantly.
Prayer:
My loving heavenly Father,

I thank you for today’s promise word. Lord, I commit my life completely into your hands. Give me the grace and strength to obey you always in everything. Let me bring glory to your name. I thank you for you are going to bless me according to today’s promise.
