God sees you – Samuel Dhinakaran
“You are the God who sees me” (Genesis 16:13)
Dear friend, it is such a joy to listen to Jesus and today He wants you to meditate on the verse, “You are the God who sees me” (Genesis 16:13). Isn’t it wonderful to realize that God sees you! His eyes are upon you. Today He promises you that you are always under His watchful eyes. He sees you in your lowest, when you are struggling the most, when you are put down the most, Jesus sees and He will reach out to you. That’s the great love of God. We might have to suffer all alone when we are at our lowest, there might be no one for us for though people comfort us it will only be a temporary distraction but God alone can comfort us and lift us from that position.
We read in the Bible that Jesus saw Nathaniel. He says, “I saw you before Philip called you to me, I saw you under the fig tree.” He says, “I saw Nathaniel as a man in whom was no deceit.” So, God not only sees us in our lowest but He sees who we really are. The Lord will say, “I see you as a child who is so kind.” “You are my truthful son.” “You are a strong girl.” He will tell you who you are and He will lift you up to do mighty things. That’s how God sees you! He sees you as you are but calls you after His own strengths.
You might be knowing the story of Gideon. He saw himself as the weakest in his clan. But God called him as mighty man of valor because God always sees His reflection on us. He knows that we are in His image. Though we lost it on the garden of Eden, He restored it back to us on the cross. So now we are His children who resemble Him. He sees us just as He is and He calls us as overcomers and conquerors. The Bible says, “in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.” (Romans 8:37) Fear not looking at who you are based on your weaknesses. God sees you as a mighty person and He will be behind you cheering you up all the way through the race to you finish it so as to win the prize. Cheer up!
Prayer:
Loving Lord,
Thank You for you see me at my lowest. When I am struggling You come to my help. You see my best character. You see my strengths, so empower me and lift me to do mighty works. Help me to shine for You to show Your wisdom and power in this world. Thank You for I am not alone.
In Jesus’ precious name, I pray. Amen.
