Be crowned with blessings – Sis. Stella Dhinakaran
“The Lord your God will bless you in the land he is giving you.” (Deuteronomy 28:8)
My precious friend, I greet you in the name of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Today, we are going to meditate on Deuteronomy 28:8. This scripture verse says “The Lord your God will bless you in the land he is giving you.” Every one of us needs God’s blessings. When we see God’s people, we go and ask them to lay hands upon us and bless us; when they bless us, we receive God’s blessings. Yes! God wants to bless you. The Bible in Genesis 24:1 says “the Lord had blessed him (Abraham) in every way.” His father was following many other gods, but God in his great mercy called Abraham by name and blessed him. When you read Genesis 25:11, you can see “God blessed his son Isaac” in the same manner.
Likewise my dear friend, God wants to bless you. Do you know what you have to do to receive God’s blessings? The word of God says in Proverbs 10:6: “Blessings crown the head of the righteous.” When you lead a righteous life, God is pleased with you and blesses you. Secondly, Psalm 128:4 says, “this will be the blessing for the man who fears the Lord.” Those who have the fear of God shall be blessed abundantly by the mighty power of Jesus Christ. Thirdly, The Bible says in Proverbs 28:20 “A faithful person will be richly blessed.” Yes, faithfulness abounds a person with God’s blessing. Fourthly, Galatians 3:9 says “those who rely on faith are blessed.”
In The Bible, we read of a woman who had been suffering in her body for 12 long years. She believed that if she touches the hem of the garment of Jesus, she would be healed. With great faith and determination, she made her way through a thronging crowd and touched the hem of the garment of Jesus Christ. Immediately, she was healed completely. (Matthew 9:20-22) Yes, my friend today you are also going to receive all the blessings. Commit your life before God and he will bless you completely in an abundant measure.
Prayer:
My loving heavenly Father,
Have mercy upon me, forgive all my sins, deliver me from all my sinful addictions, and make me a righteous person. Make me a faithful person Lord, meet all my needs, and bless me with your mighty hand upon me. Let me be blessed abundantly.
In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
