Fame, praise and honor – Stella Ramola

“He has declared that he will set you in praise, fame and honor high above all the nations he has made and that you will be a people holy to the LORD your God, as he promised.” (Deuteronomy 26:19)
Dear friend it is a joy to bring God’s word to you. Today, let’s meditate on the promise verse from Deuteronomy 26:19, “He has declared that he will set you in praise, fame and honor high above all the nations he has made and that you will be a people holy to the LORD your God, as he promised.” Yes, dear friend, God is going to bless you with fame, praise and honor. This promise is for you today. You might be saying, “I am rejected by all my friends.  There are people speaking against me. They are spreading rumors about me. People are cursing me. People are plotting against me” and you might be pressurized in your job or be pressurized in your family life by your relatives or people might be comparing with you and say, “you are not good enough” but today God is going to remove all such shame from your life. 

God is going to turn all of that and make you a blessing especially to such people. He is going to use your skills and talents and make you a blessing to people around you. All the people who have been cursing you, blaming you and putting you to shame will come to you and say, “You are a blessing to me. The thing that you invented and did for me has blessed me.” Yes, that’s how God is going to turn your life. So how can you achieve this blessing? We see in the Bible in Exodus 24:7, “Then he took the Book of the Covenant and read it to the people. They responded, “We will do everything the LORD has said; we will obey.”

Because the Israelites did this, today we remember them as God’s people. God has blessed them so much. In the same way even as you obey God, whatever blessing written in the Bible like praise, honor and fame will be yours. God will remove all your shame as you trust in Him and walk according to His ways. He will bless you and make you a blessing to the people around you and to the whole nation. People who scoffed at you or hated you will come to you and say, “you are a blessing.” Let’s thank God for this promise and for the blessing He is going to give you today.

Prayer:
Loving Lord Jesus,

I feel rejected and neglected by people. I am suffering in my job and family. There are people who hate me and are plotting against me. Turn such people’s hearts Lord. Help me obey You and walk according to Your Word and give me favor in the eyes of people. Help me focus on what You have called me to do and let me start being a blessing to people around me. Bless me with fame, praise and honor.
