The wait is over – Shilpa Dhinakaran
“Every place where you set your foot will be yours.” (Deuteronomy 11:24)
Hello friend. The promise word for today is taken from Deuteronomy 11:24: “Every place where you set your foot will be yours.” God promised this blessing to the Israelites when they were about to possess Canaan. This is a blessing of prosperity. The Lord is saying ‘wherever you set your foot, will be yours.’ You may be worried thinking you have been waiting for you blessing for such a long time – a job, an own house, healing or any other blessing. Today, the Lord is going to give you the blessing. What you wished for will come true. Many times you might be longing for certain blessings. Today, the Lord encourages you not to give up because He is going to bless you. All you need to do is set your foot on the land, which is to claim your blessing through this promise.
I remember the story of a young person. When he was in school, he used to take the local bus to the school. Every time he travelled by bus, he used to see the Reserve Bank of India on the roadside. He used to wish and pray in his heart saying, ‘Lord I want to work in this office, it may be a small job but I want to be part of the Reserve Bank of India. He prayed for his blessing according to this verse. Whenever he saw this place, he prayed saying ‘every place I set my foot on will be mine.’ Many years went by, but nothing happened. He literally gave up on his dream, but during this wait, the Lord prepared him so well that one day he was appointed as the head manager of Reserve Bank of India. This made him realize that the Lord hears even the smallest of prayers. Even though it took a long time, the Lord granted his wish.
Similarly you might be going through many troubles and confusions in your life. You may be thinking that you are very far away from your dream. However, the Lord promises that He will bless and give your dream today. Thank the Lord and believe for this blessing.
Prayer:
My loving heavenly Father,
I thank you for this promise word. Though I may be waiting for my blessing for a very long time, I know you are preparing me to receive my blessings. Help me to hold on to my faith in you and possess my blessings. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
