Joy indescribable – Sis. Evangeline Paul Dhinakaran
“Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.” (Psalm 37:4)
My dear friend, today, the Lord is going to fulfill all the desires of your heart. The Lord, himself, is speaking to you according to the verse Psalm 37:4 “Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.” In Psalm 43:4, David says “God, my joy and my delight.” Yes, the Lord is going to be your joy and delight throughout this year because he is going to be with your always. We see the Lord was with the Israelites day and night, all the 24 hours. We read about it in Exodus 13:21, which says, “By day the Lord went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to guide them on their way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so that they could travel by day or night.” How greatly they would have rejoiced in the presence of the Lord. Similarly, you are also going to delight in the Lord throughout this year.
Today is a very specially blessed day because the joy of the Lord is going to fill you completely. The Lord told me in December 2007, I will be in your midst as the King of Israel. We read about it in Zephaniah 3:15 which says, “The Lord, the King of Israel, is with you.” Yes, He is no ordinary man; He is the King of Israel. What great joy it is for you, when He is there in your midst. David describes about this joy in Psalm 4:7, “You have put more joy in my heart than they have when their grain and wine abound.” The Lord promises you this overflowing joy.
In I Peter 1:8, The Bible says, “rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory.” When the Lord comes and dwells in your heart, you are blessed with inexpressible joy filled with glory. Ask the Lord today to come and dwell in your heart, fill you with this inexpressible joy, and rejoice over you with gladness. He will also keep you in His presence as His beloved child. In Acts 2, when the Holy Spirit came upon the disciples, they were filled with this great joy. Everyone who watched them thought the disciples were drunk with wine. The Holy Spirit fills us with happiness, which is more than when grain and wine abound (Psalm 4:7). May the Lord fill you with such joy. When the Lord comes into your heart and life, all other blessings come along with Him as seen in Romans 8:32; “how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?”
Prayer:
My Loving Heavenly Father,
As meditated, please fill me with this glorious joy, which is greater than when grain and wine abound. Let inexpressible joy of the Holy Spirit come down and fill my heart.
In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
