Honour in place of shame – Samuel Dhinakaran
“never again will my people be shamed.” (Joel 2:27) Dear friend, the promise for today is from Joel 2:27, “never again will my people be shamed.” Today you might be saying, “Lord I am in utter shame in my life.” May be people are calling you a fool in your school or in your workplace. You are not able to understand anything or do anything properly. They might be calling you by all sorts of names. May be you are saying, “Our family is a laughing stock in the society.” We are stripped bare today. We are nothing now. Or maybe you are saying, “In my wedding planning the people to come are making fun of me.” “I am having so much pain in looking for my partner. Even my own parents are bringing my shame by talking bad about me.”
The Lord sees you and He tells you today that there is no shame for you before the Lord. He sees your life totally transparent and completely revealed before Him. But still He looks at you and finds no shame because He went through shame on the cross hanging naked and scorned by men. They were saying, “You have no power. You are a false person.” He understands your situation and He says to you today, “You don’t have to be ashamed, come and let’s walk together.” So throw away your shame. Be secure in Jesus as He makes sure that you will never again have shame before men. This is the promise He is giving you today. “Come walk boldly with me the Lord God” He says. Why should you feel ashamed anymore? God will make sure that He honours you before men. So lift your head up my friend. Dear one, lift your head in the society. Don’t feel ashamed anymore. God is going to give you honour. May be you are in lack and so you are going through shame. Whatever it is, God will provide it for you. At the right time God will lift your high. God says, “You will have plenty to eat, until you are satisfied. You will praise the name of the LORD your God, who has worked wonders for you. My people will never again be put to shame.” (Joel 2:26) Hold on to this promise and claim it.Prayer:Lord Jesus,
I thank You with all my heart. Thank You for caring for me. Thank You because there is no shame in Your presence. Give me a new life. Rebuild my life. Never let me put to shame. In the same place of shame bring me honour Lord.
In Your precious name, I pray. Amen.
