Shield of victory – Dr. Paul Dhinakaran

“You have given me your shield of victory and your right hand sustains me.” (Psalm 18:35)My precious friend, God is ready to pour down blessings, which you cannot hold. He will send you showers of blessings. What a great joy! Jesus loves you. Let us meditate on today’s promise found in Psalm 18:35. The scripture says, “O Lord, You have given me your shield of victory and your right hand sustains me.” You stoop down to make me great. The promise says, “you give me your shield of victory.” In another translation, it says shield of salvation. Why do you need a shield? It is because the wicked satan throws fiery darts against you to destroy you. He is also throwing deceptive darts against you to take over your soul and turn your attention to him. That is why God gives a shield of victory and this is a shield around you. This shield of salvation was manufactured on the cross by Jesus. It is called the shield of the blood of Jesus, which speaks good things against the wickedness that comes to destroy you. Hebrews 12:24 says “the blood of Jesus speaks good things; and the demonic oppression sent to destroy your souls is destroyed.

The devil is a liar and he is the father of lies. He always he says God doesn’t care for you and God doesn’t love you. He makes you understand many times the powers of the people of the world is much greater than the power of God and sometimes, he even makes you lose your soul by not waiting for God and not trusting in God’s Love. Yes! that is why The Lord himself has given you a shield of salvation and The Holy Spirit speaks good things about the blood of Jesus Christ, which brings the good things in your life and our souls are protected.In Psalm 5:12, the Bible says “Surely, LORD, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield.”  God’s favor comes to you and this is called “Karunya.” In the Tamil Bible, it is called Karunya. Your Karunya will make me great Lord. Zechariah 9:17 says when God’s goodness or Karunya keeps coming, it makes a young man thrive with grain and make them enjoy as with sweet wine. May God give you this grace.Prayer:Father God,

protect me. Be a shield of salvation, a shield of victory around me. Let me have all the goodness in life. Bless me.
