Never alone – Stella Ramola
“I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.” (John 14:18)
Dear friend, it is such a joy to share God’s word with you today. Today God makes a promise you should remember for your entire life. He says, “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you” (John 14:18). You might be saying, “There is no one to help me in this world. I have so many problems which I am not able to share with anyone. I feel lonely. I feel so lost. I feel broken in this world. I keep praying and praying but is God hearing my prayers? I have been seeking Him but is He hiding His face from me?” You might be having lot of these questions and worries just like David who said, “How long, Lord? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me?” (Psalm 13:1), but God says to you today that He will not leave alone like orphans. He will surely come to you and He will be with you.
When I think about this, I remember a small example. In our home, when Shilpa is taking care of Katie the entire night, she would be very tired as she does not get enough sleep. She would give Katie to us and ask us to take care of her. We will play with Katie, make her laugh, sing songs to her and take care of her. As time goes by, she will start making small noises and after sometime the volume will keep increasing and increasing because she knows her mom is not there. She will want to be with her mother. As she starts crying really loudly, Shilpa would come out of the room to come and cuddle Katie. Katie would stop crying immediately. Yes, that is the same thing God will do for you. He will listen to you and right when you are at the breaking point, He will come to you and take you in His arms and quiet you.
Even today, God will comfort you and be a father to you. The Bible says, “As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him;” (Psalm 103:13). He says, “Even to your old age and gray hairsI am he, I am he who will sustain you.I have made you and I will carry you;I will sustain you and I will rescue you” (Isaiah 46:4).God will care for you my friend. He will take complete control over your life and do everything for you. Rejoice!

Lord, I cannot share my problems with anyone but thank You for You are there to hear me. Be a father to me. Show Your love toward me. Remove my lonely feeling. Let everything I do prosper. Help me in all my endeavours. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.
