God’s holy temple – Sis. Stella Dhinakaran
“For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.”(1 Corinthians 3:17)
My precious friend, God says you are His temple. For we read, “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;” (1 Corinthians 6:19). The Lord Himself comes and dwells with you. What a great life it is to have God Almighty to dwell in you through the Holy Spirit? Bible also says, “But whoever is united with the Lord is one with him in spirit” (1 Corinthians 6:17). It is such a great privilege to be one with the Lord. It is possible only through the Holy Spirit.
You have to join yourself with the Lord. Ask the Lord saying, “Father, I want to live a holy life. I want You to be in me. I want to be united with You.” We read in Psalm 93:5, “Holiness adorns Your house, O LORD, forever.” God’s house is filled with holiness. You have to sanctify yourself to have God dwell in you. When you unite with the Lord, He will make you a beautiful person. When God comes and dwells with you, He will change your life completely by removing all the unwanted habits from your life and make you holy and blameless. All you need to do is ask Him to come into your heart and abide with you forever. When you seek Him you will surely find Him.
Isaiah 12:3 says, “Therefore with joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.” When God comes to dwell within you, He will fill you with His joy. You will overflow with joy. He will make you to rejoice in Him. Just as Paul says, “Rejoice in the Lord always. Again, I will say, rejoice!” (Philippians 4:4), God will make you rejoice and be glad. When God comes inside of you, you will become a temple to Him over which He too will rejoice. He will sing joyful songs over you. He will fill you with the joy of His presence. Give yourself in the hands of God right now.
Prayer:
Father,
Thank You Lord for all the blessings You have in store for me. Change me right now Lord. Let me not follow the ways of the wicked one. Open my eyes to be cautious of what pleases You and what doesn’t please You. Let me be Your temple. Come and dwell in me Lord. Let me have a divine and Christ centred life.
In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.
