Led by God’s plan – Dr. Paul Dhinakaran
I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 3:14)
My precious friend, God has a plan for you even for today. Don’t be afraid that there is darkness around you. Jesus will always shine His light among the darkness of this world. Paul says, “I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 3:14). God has made a way for you to run in this world. God says in Jeremiah 29:11, ‘”For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”’Even before the foundation of the world, God has made a plan for your life. He is waiting for you to come to Him each day so that He may lead you in the path He has planned and made for you.
God has also allotted an angel for you to lead you in the way He has prepared for you. For God says, “See, I am sending an angel ahead of you to guard you along the way and to bring you to the place I have prepared” (Exodus 23:20). When we walk faithfully in the plan of God, in the way He has made for us there is a prize waiting for us. But the path will not be easy. We will have to go through the wilderness, the desert, cross the hurdles but in everything God has a plan in letting us go through such situations. He has given us His Holy Spirit to show us this way. We read,”In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans (Romans 8:26). As we pray everyday in the Holy Spirit, He will pray with groanings for us to find the way of God and walk in it. He will make us speak in new tongues and help us understand the plan of God for that day and helps us walk according to God’s will to gain the prize that is waiting for us.
The Bible says, “Like a bird that flees its nest is anyone who flees from home” (Proverbs 27:8) which means we will be lost if we are not in the will of God. We have to run the race set before us according to God’s will so as to get a prize (1 Corinthians 9:24). To run the race according to God’s will, we should make it our ambition to lead a quiet life: mind our own business and work with our hands (1 Thessalonians 4:11). So do what God leads you to do each day and you will be victorious in all things.
Prayer:
Father,
Give me this grace. Stay with me. Lead me by Your Spirit. Help me to be obedient to Your plan. Only let Your will be done in my life. Help me to lead a quiet life, minding my own business and work with all my strength.
In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.
