Freedom through God’s Spirit – Sis. Stella Dhinakaran

“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom” (2 Corinthians 3:17).
The Holy Spirit is a person of the Godhead, the triune God. Just as a person is a father, a son as well as a husband, God has three personifications. He is the Father God, the Son Jesus Christ and the Spirit of God- Holy Spirit. Jesus came to the world in flesh and brought healing, deliverance from bondage and salvation to all people. When He rose back to life and ascended into the Heavenliest, He promised to send His Spirit among people so that the Spirit of God, would guide them just as Jesus did while He was on earth. The Holy Spirit is the One through whom we can receive communion with God. “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom” (2 Corinthians 3:17). Yes, God’s Holy Spirit can alone liberate us and help us have a close walk with God.

Here is a testimony of a brother named Daniel from Thiruvallur: “I am 25 years old. My parents are doing farming in Tiruttani. I have three elder sisters. I am the only son and I went astray. I indulged in all the sins of the youth and lost my peace. At this juncture, through my relative, I came to know about the Lord Jesus. Yet I did not give my life completely to Him. I could not live a truly close life with the Lord. I have been doing my job staying in Chennai and I had no peace. I tried hard to remove the empty feeling in my heart but in vain. Through my friends I came to know of the Jesus Calls Prayer Tower. Hearing that a special Family Blessing Meeting was to be held in the Prayer Tower campus, I came to the meeting. That day sister Stella Dhinakaran shared God’s message on the title, “Divine love manifested from God.” Finally she said, “Whoever wants deliverance, ask for the power of the Holy Spirit. This anointing would strengthen you and deliver you.” I too joined her in the prayer and prayed for the Lord to fill me and at that instant I received the anointing of the Holy Spirit. The emptiness that was tormenting me until then vanished. Since then I am a new man.”

The Lord who made the brother a new creation is able to deliver you and give you a new life. This new life is available only through the Holy Spirit. Will you ask God to fill you too? He would certainly fill you and you will glorify God and walk with the Lord like how the saints of the Bible did.

Loving Lord,

Fill me with Your Spirit and anoint me with the gift of tongues. Liberate me from all my weaknesses and bondages. Let Your power fill me abundantly and help me to have a close walk with You. Lead me by Your Spirit. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.
