Christ in you! – Stella Ramola
“To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:27).
When we have Jesus in our life, we have hope. Whenever people suffered from sickness or lack or trouble we see that Jesus brought them deliverance. Yes, Jesus is the answer and so He is the hope of our life. We will never have to be in a helpless or hopeless state because with Jesus there is always a way out. That is why Jesus in the Father promises us that, “I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland” (Isaiah 43:19). He can make all things new. He who created the world out of nothing can create something and bring about a change in your life. The only thing that you should be concerned about is “do I have Jesus in my life?”. Having Jesus in your life is to believe on Him and trust Him for all your needs. You don’t have to do anything else. It simply requires a mustard seed sized faith.
For we read in Hebrews 11:6, “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” We need to believe that God will surely answer us when we call to Him. That is the way to please God. There is no point in praying hard but doubting if it will happen. You should be sure God will do what you have asked Him of. When you trust the chair before you put your weight on it, trust the shop before you make an order and trust your phone before you set alarm you should also trust God to answer you before you place your request. For God’s Word says, “Before a word is on my tongue you, LORD, know it completely” (Psalm 139:4). Jesus also says, “And when you pray, do not babble on like pagans, for they think that by their many words they will be heard. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.” God doesn’t want us to babble; He knows what we need and He expects us to hope on His answering nature.
He clearly says in John 14:13, “You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father.” Yes, Christ brings glory to the Father by fulfilling our hope. Jesus is our hope of glory. When Christ is in us, He becomes our glory. The greatest glory we can have is to have Christ in us. He has been offered to all people as our gift and glory. All we need to do is to hope on Him. So, “Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful (Hebrews 10:23). When we hope on Him He blesses us abundantly. We will enjoy His provision and His promises coming true in our life.
Prayer:
My loving Lord Jesus,
I once again choose to trust you and put all my hope only on you. You are the only one who deserves glory and You are my glory. I choose to hold on to the hope You have promised through Your Word. Answer my requests and help me to testify of Your goodness and glorify Your name.
In the name of our Lord Jesus I pray, O Father, Amen.
