Compassionate Lord! – Bro. D.G.S Dhinakaran

“The LORD hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles” (Psalm 34:17).
Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness. When He saw the crowds, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without shepherd (Matthew 9:35,36). Jesus had compassion on the people who came to Him. He did not despise anyone. The Bible also records that Jesus went around doing good healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with Him (Acts 10:38). Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever (Hebrews 13:8). He is still compassionate to heal you and deliver you. He is not blind to your problems. Don’t worry. The LORD hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles (Psalm 34:17).

Once, I had been to Germany and stayed there at a friend’s house. At that time, a couple from China came there to see me. That lady told me, “Sir, there is a problem in my heart; I consulted many doctors around the world. But I was not healed. They said, ‘There is nothing more we can do for you.’” One night she was bitterly crying and she thought, “It is better to die than to have this pain and live in this world.” She had a dream that same night. She saw a man coming and laying his hands on her and praying for her. Immediately she got out of bed and woke her husband up and told him her dream. He did not believe her and said, “This is just a thought in your heart and nothing else. I have not seen anyone in this world who prays like that.”

I spoke about Jesus to that couple before they gave me the details and they listened quietly for 45 minutes. As they were hearing about Jesus, tears started to flow from their eyes. Yes! Our Jesus is such a sweet person. I told them about how Jesus laid His hands on others and prayed for them. I also said to her, “I too am going to place my hands on you and pray for you” and started praying after placing my hands on her. Both of them were misty eyed. It was then that she shared about her dream and said, “This was how that man in my dream prayed for me with much compassion.” I prayed for them and went my way. In about a month’s time, after completing my other ministry work, I came back and happened to meet them again. She told me that she had received complete healing from the hands of God. All glory to God! See how unchanging and same God is even today? The same Lord will heal you too. Be glad!

Loving Father,

Thank You for the truth that You are unchanging and still the same compassionate God. Lord, heal me and deliver me. Make me also experience Your loving touch. Lay Your hands on me and set me free from all my troubles. Let Your wounded hand rest upon me and bless me.
