Sorrows into joy! – Bro. D.G.S Dhinakaran
“And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more…sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” (Revelation 21:4)
Dear ones, let not your hearts be troubled. Today, you may be in a situation where you are shedding tears. May be you are suffering because of the bad nature of people who belong to your own family. May be you are suffering with a sickness that is not allowing you to do your chores peacefully. Whatever be your suffering, God promises to you today that He will wipe away every tear from your eyes (Revelation 21:4). He is not going to today it just in eternity but He is going to do it for you now so that you can live in peace. “You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book.” (Psalm 56:8). God does not turn a deaf ear to your cries. He not only watches you but also records your sorrows and tears so that at the right time He can repay you with joy and laughter.
I met a loving sister. She asked me, “Sir, I have come with inconsolable grief on losing my daughter; can you atleast speak with me for five minutes?” I happened to meet two other families at that time. One person shed tears and said, “Sir, despite a small injury in my son’s body, the blood keeps oozing out for many days. It cannot be stopped.” Another family brought their daughter who had a disease in her leg. Being filled with sorrow, they bitterly shed tears and said, “Sir, look at the leg of this child; how long should we suffer like this?” But even in the midst of your grief, do not forget that Jesus is there to shed tears for you. The only purpose for which Jesus shed tears is for us to know the heart of the Almighty God.
Dear ones, there is a heart that cares for you. He is the One who sees your tears and your sorrow; He understands your agony. He knows the location of the disease in your body and how it torments you. God never allows anyone to go through sorrow all the time. He has ordained ” a time to weep and a time to laugh” (Ecclesiastes 3:4). God will surely change your situation very soon. The Bible also teaches us that “Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy” (Psalm 126:5). You are going to reap a lot of joy for everything you go through. God took away my daughter but blessed me with a beautiful daughter in-law and three blessed grandchildren. God has replaced the sorrow in our lives with much joy. God will do that for you too.
Prayer:
Loving Lord,
Thank you Lord for encouraging me with Your Word that You will soon wipe away all my tears. Lord, change my situation. Let Your grace be with me and lead me into Your joy. Thank You for keeping track of my sorrows and for collecting my tears to repay me with laughter. Let Your goodness and love follow me all the days of my life. In Jesus name I pray loving Father,
Amen.
