Your longing will be fulfilled! – Sis. Evangeline Paul Dhinakaran
“Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.” (Proverbs 13:12)
Many of us have longings in our heart that we pray about and hope about. Bible teaches us, “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see” (Hebrews 11:1). We don’t hope for what we know is possible. We only hope for things that is beyond our ability to make it happen. When things go beyond our hands and into the hands of God is when we start to hope. When we are sure about what we hope for it is called faith. God expects us to have faith. There are just three things that remain unshakable and they are faith, hope and love (1 Corinthians 13:13). Without hope you cannot have faith and without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him (Hebrews 11:6). All you need for a miracle is a little bit of hope and faith.
I want to share the testimony of one our dear sisters. Her name is Shoba Irudayaraj and she lives in Dindigul. She was married in the year 2007 but was very disappointed that year after year went by without a conception. When she consulted the doctors, they checked her and said that there were blocks in both the fallopian tubes, and a tumour in the uterus and they removed that tumour through a surgery. But, that tumour started to grow again and doctors had said that there is no possibility for her to have a child. They were shattered. One day it happened that she watched a Jesus Calls TV Programme. In that Programme my husband and I were praying for those who did not have children. They joined us in that prayer and prayed for a child. Then they had come to the Jesus Calls Prayer Tower at Dindigul, and got prayed for by the prayer intercessors and joined in Jesus calls Family Blessing Plan. When they heard about Young Partners Plan, by faith they enrolled their ‘child’ even before she conceived! After that they never went to any hospital. One day she felt unusually weak and went for a check up. After examination the doctor declared that she was pregnant! The doctors who checked her earlier were amazed and said: “Truly it is a miracle!”
Be joyful in hope (Romans 12:12). God tells you that He will surely answer you when you call unto Him. So you should put your hope on Him that He will grant you your desires and be joyful even as you wait for the blessing. “By faith Abraham, even though he was past age and Sarah herself was barren was enabled to become a father because he considered him faithful who had made the promise. And so from this one man, and he as good as dead, came descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as countless as the sand on the seashore” (Hebrews 11:11,12). The God of Abraham is your God and He will be faithful to fulfil His promises to you as well. Your longing will be fulfilled and it will be to you as the tree of life (Proverbs 13:12).
Prayer:
Loving Lord Jesus,
I surrender my hopes and dreams into Your hands. I know all things are possible with You. Your hand is never shortened that You cannot save. Putting my hope on You brings rest to my heart. I am sure that You will bless me and fulfil Your promise to me just as you did to Abraham and the sister in the testimony. Help me also to testify of Your miracles that You would do for me for Your glory.
In Your name I pray,
Amen.
