Protection promised! – Sis. Stella Dhinakaran

” I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture.” (John 10:9)
Friends, we have no other way to Heaven other than Jesus. There is no other way to receive blessings than to receive it from Jesus. Jesus is the gate which we need to enter into to find pasture which is a blessed life filled with quietness and peace. A gate is a symbol of protection. Even during these days of lockdown, there is safety only if we stay inside our houses. Only when we go outside we are exposed to harm. A gate guards us from the dangers that are outside. Jesus serves as the gate that protects us. The thief who is the devil cannot enter into our lives if we are guarded by Christ. His blood will be a hedge of protection around us.  

A man once told of meeting a shepherd who showed him the fold where the sheep were led at night. It consisted of four walls with a way in. The man asked the shepherd, “That is where you go at night?” “Yes,” the shepherd said, “and when the sheep are in there they are perfectly safe.” “But there is no door,” said the man. “I am the door,” the shepherd replied. He was not a man who knew Christ, but rather an Arab shepherd. But he was using the same language that Jesus used. He explained further, “When the light has gone, and all the sheep are inside, I lie in that open space, and no sheep ever goes out but across my body, and no wolf comes in unless he crosses my body; I am the door.” 

Jesus says in John 14:6, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” Gate is also a place of verification. People who want to enter need to satisfy some condition. Not everyone can enter in. Jesus is the sign of approval to enter into the blessings of God. Without Jesus who is the gate we cannot enter into spiritual blessings. Only if we have Jesus in our lives, we will receive the Holy Spirit who is the Counsellor. Neither can we go to the Father without accepting Jesus as our Saviour. These days people claim many other prophets and people to be the way to Heaven. Just to make it clear for us that Jesus Christ is the only way to Heaven, He insisted on the truth that He is the gate, the truth and the life. He wanted us to be careful not to be confused with the counterfeits.  That is why He shed is blood on the cross to prove to us that no one would give their life for others. Today, you may be wondering how to have a blessed month. I tell you, seek Jesus. Enter into His peace, provision and protection by praying to the Father through Jesus. You will surely be answered.

Prayer:
Loving Father In Heaven,

I come to You in Jesus name. I believe that Jesus is the only way to a blessed life. Please remove all the works of the devil in my life and lead me into abundance. Restore everything that I have lost in double portion so that I can be Your testimony. Lead me through this month without any lack. Be my Provider and Protector. Let Your Presence be with me each day of this month.
