God is with you! – Bro. D.G.S Dhinakaran
“I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.” (John 14:18)
Having a family is a blessing from God. There are so many children in this world without a family. So many children are aborted in the womb. There is so much of misery in this world. All these troubles make us feel lonely. Sometimes we might have a family that is not bonded in love. There might be no love between the husband and wife, between children and their parents and between relatives. Just as the Bible says that in the last days the love of many will grow cold (Mathew 24:12), many are going through hate. There is no tolerance among people. People are quick to end their life because of depression and many unexplainable worries. This world has become thirsty for love than ever in history.
One day, a newly married young girl received a short letter from her husband. The girl was very eager to look into the letter and so she quickly unfolded the envelope. Her face turned pale as she was going through the letter. Within few minutes she consumed poison and ended her life. What was written in that letter? The letter read “I am sorry I married you. I am sorry I came all the way to marry you. I did this just to please my parents. I must tell you the truth; I am already married in America and I have children and I can’t accept you as my wife anymore.” That broke her heart and she ended her life. That is the love of a man. My dear children of God, remember, man’s love is temporary but God’s love is an everlasting love.
The only person who can truly give us the love we expect is God himself. No one else can satisfy the longing in our heart. God cares for us like a mother cares for her child. God says ‘even if a mother forgets her child I will not forget you’ (Isaiah 49:15). That is so true. These days wickedness has increased and many mothers abandon their children for various reasons. Yet God is concerned about every detail of our life (Psalm 37:23). Are you bothered that you have no one to care for you? Have you lost the love of a loved one? Whatever you are going through God says to you today, “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you” (John 14:18). The Lord will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). When you take one step toward Him He will come running to you like the father of the prodigal son. He will never condemn you. He will comfort you and carry you in His hands like a shepherd who carries his sheep lovingly.
Prayer:
Loving Father in Heaven,
Thank You for being a Father to me. Your love never changes so I praise You. You stay with me even when everyone else leaves. You care about every tiny detail of my life and so I cast all my cares on You. I cast out my loneliness and embrace Your love. You are my friend and companion. I will seek You and not the love that is present in the world. Help me to reflect Your love to those around me.
In Jesus Name I pray,
Amen.
