TRUST IN GOD! – Sis. Stella Dhinakaran

“Trust in Him at all times, you people; pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us.” (Psalm 62:8)
In this worldly life, we lose heart very easily when we have to pass through trials and sufferings and we fret and fume for we have no strength to bear them. Often our strong trust in God also goes down and we start thinking “Why should I live?” Is there a way for redemption from this condition? Yes! This is what we read clearly in the above quoted Bible verse. Accordingly, if we whole-heartedly trust God who is our refuge and pour out all our burdens and worries at His feet, He will make everything beautiful in its time (Ecclesiastes 3:11).

There was a widow who had no one to help her and at the same time, she also had huge debts, ranging in lakhs of rupees, which she had to repay. At this stage, she thought whether to “live or die”. On the other side, she thought, “O, many say Jesus Christ helps people! Why can’t I go and pour out my heart to Him?” As she was wondering about what to do next, with great anxiety she attended the ‘Jesus Calls’ prayer meeting that was held near her place. During prayer time, the servant of God who spoke on that day, pointed towards her, revealed the colour of the sari she was wearing and described the problems she was facing and said, “The Lord is coming with you today. He will solve all your debt problems in a miraculous way. As you have poured out your heart with tears in His presence, surely He will give you shelter and save you. ” After two years, the staff from ‘Jesus Calls’ called her over phone and asked her, “Madam, how are you now?” She said, “As the servant of God had predicted on that day, the Lord has blessed me immeasurably. Now I have no complaints at all.”

This same God is at work today in our lives too. Bible says, “Trust in Him at all times, you people; pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us” (Psalm 62:8). Keep on trusting God. He is our only help in this world. He says that our faith and hope should be in Him, not in the wealth and riches of this world!. Your problematic situation might not change at this very moment, but you can be certain that God will wrap you around His arms and shield you from all your pain. So, let’s trust in Him at all times

Prayer:
Loving Saviour!

Give me the grace not to grow weary in any situation, but to trust You at all times. Lord, You change all my inadequacies and make me sufficient in all things. I believe that You are the God Most High. You are the Creator of Heaven and Earth. Erase all my doubts and help me to trust You at all times. Thus, prove that You are with me as my refuge and bless me.
