Blessings of the Father – Dr. Paul Dhinakaran

“In Him also we have obtained an inheritance” (Ephesians 1:11)
A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children (Proverbs 13:22). Our Father Lord Jesus has left an inheritance for us. It is the blessing of Abraham our father which we do not enjoy because of our shortcomings and ignorance. Jesus bore all our curses on the cross to bring His blessing upon us. The blessings he owned are good health, having sufficiency in all things and being able to bring deliverance to the people who came to Him. Jesus came to this world to live the abundant life He can pass down to His children and made His life a gift that we can enjoy.

One day, the life history of a millionaire was telecast on television. He was born in a poor family in America and was working in a small company as an ordinary worker. One day, he received a letter from a lawyer in England! He was greatly surprised when he read the letter that said, “Your relative in England has left his entire property and his big palace to you in his will, before he died. Please come and inherit everything!” He immediately left by plane to England and to his great surprise, a royal welcome awaited him at the airport. Those who were waiting for him received him saying, “My Lord! We welcome you heartily!” He could not believe his ears! A beautiful huge car was waiting for him. When he tried to carry his suitcase, they came running to him, “My Lord, you should not do anything; just give the command, we will do everything for you!” An ordinary man had been transformed like a king, because of the will of his rich relative. My friend, this is how even you become a prince or princess in the Kingdom of God. Yes! You are the inheritance of God through Christ Jesus, who died on the cross for you and you own everything that belongs to God through Jesus.

Jesus said “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (John 14:27). You might say that you are facing too many troubles and there is no sign of the abundant life God wants you to have in your life. But I want to encourage you that God will surely take away you troubles and give you His peace. All you need to do is to trust your Father in Heaven. Even if heaven and earth passes away, His Word will not fail (Matthew 24:35) and He will come to you to restore joy back into your life once again. He gave His life for you so how will He not give you what you ask Him for? (Romans 8:32). Keep trusting Him.

Prayer:
Father God,

How privileged am I to be Your son/daughter and inherit the riches of heaven. I believe I can be Your child only through Jesus Christ. Bless me Lord, with all the spiritual blessings. Lord meet all my needs according to Your riches in Glory and let me inherit the abundant life Jesus lived on earth. Lift my head and make a distinction between me and those who do not know You so that I can testify and draw them to Your fold.
