Remaining in Jesus – Sis. Stella Dhinakaran
“Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.” (John 15:4)
Dear friend, I greet you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Today’s promise of God is found in John 15:4, “Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.” Yes, dear friend, the Lord wants to abide with you and be with you all the time. 1 Corinthians 6:17 says, “But whoever is united with the Lord is one with him in spirit.”
Colossians 1:27 says, “To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.” Yes, Christ in you is the hope of glory. In John 15:9 Jesus says, “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love.” Jesus is saying here about how He abides in God and in His love. John 8:31,32 says, “Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
If you go on reading the word of God, the anointing and the power of God will come upon you and you will know many truths through that. You will follow God’s word and walk according to His teaching thereby abiding in Him. Because I have been reading the word of God all these years and I have been filled with the Holy Spirit, I am able to be with the Lord and rejoice in Him all the time. You too make up your mind to read the word of God as much as you can and you will also be rejoicing in your life all the time.
Prayer:
Loving Father,
Thank You Lord for Your word. Give me the desire and thirst to read your word as much as I can. Help me seek You all the time. Abide in me and help me to abide in You. Give me the grace to rejoice in You all the time.
In Jesus’ precious name, I pray. Amen.
