Abundantly Blessed – Sis. Stella Dhinakaran
“God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.” (II Corinthians 9:8)
My precious child, I greet you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is a special and happy day today. It is my grandson’s birthday. Do you know who my grandson is? It is none other than Samuel Paul Dhinakaran! He is celebrating his birthday. Therefore, do pray for him and bless him. Today, we are going to meditate on II Corinthians 9:8. This verse says, “God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.” What a beautiful promise it is! You have to claim such promises in your life all the time. Remember this promise and claim it whenever you are feeling tired or miserable in your life.
We read God’s abundant blessings on the soul in Jeremiah 31:25. “For I have satiated the weary soul, and I have replenished every sorrowful soul.” Many times, very easily you become weary in your soul because of the problems of this world. No happiness, no child, no job, and all sorts of negative things. Many other things make you become weary. Nowadays, you can see many people going into depression, because they don’t get what they need, but God wants to supply all your need. Yes! This is a promise of God. The Bible says in Philippians 4:19: “God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.” Also, if you read Isaiah 40:29 it says: “He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.”
When Jesus lived on this earth, what did He do when He went through difficulties? You see the answer in Hebrews 12:2-3. “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.” We have to follow the example of Jesus. Yes my child, have the practice of looking unto Jesus when you face difficulties, lack and negative things in life. Even now, let us look unto Jesus. When His hand comes upon you, all the negative things in your life will leave. Say this prayer with faith.
Prayer:
My loving heavenly Father,
Thank you for today’s promise word. The difficulties and needs of life make me weary, but now I submit everything at your feet. I ask for you to fill me with strength and meet my needs according to your riches.
In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
