Overflowing Joy – Dr. Paul Dhinakaran
“You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.” (Isaiah 55:12)
My precious friend, God has a special blessing for you. Today’s promise is taken from Isaiah 55:12. God’s promise goes like this: “You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.” Yes, God will surely do just like the Scripture says in Malachi 4:2, “You who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will arise with healing in its rays; and you will go out and frolic like well-fed calves.” God is going to break every bondage and sorrow and lead you to go forth in peace and happiness. The Lord himself becomes the sun of righteousness and arises upon you. The health under His wings, will surely revive, deliver and exalt you in every way. God will turn your sorrow into joy.
Firstly, you will be blessed with the joy of freedom. The Lord delivered the people of Israel from the cruel hands of Pharaoh, led them out of Egypt to go and inherit with joy the Promised Land flowing with milk and honey. Similarly, the Lord will deliver you from all the oppression and deadly terror and make you move ahead with joy. He will make you march forward with joy into the blessed future he has for you. In the manner God sent Moses to deliver the Israelites, He sends you His Word today to deliver you. With God’s guidance you will joyfully inherit the blessed future that is in store for you.
With the Lord’s leading, next you will experience the joy of God’s presence. King David says: “In your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore” (Psalms 16:11). Yes! There is fullness of joy. Doesn’t this imply that there is no lack? Surely it does! The joy that follows is that of receiving. “Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full” (John 16:24). Jesus has already inherited everything on the cross for you. Therefore, when you ask in the name of Jesus, God grants it to you. St. Paul writes in Romans 8:26, “In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.” Friend, ask for The Holy Spirit to fill you. This makes way for health, honor and exaltation to come to you. Obstacles will be removed and every door opened turning your sorrow into joy!
Prayer:
My loving Heavenly Father,
Thank you for today’s promise. I humbly ask you to fill me with your Holy Spirit. Lord, grant me your presence, joy and strengthen me. Graciously, enable me to walk righteously and inherit your plans for my life.
In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
