You will soon enter the promised land – Sis. Evangeline Paul Dhinakaran
The gracious hand of our God is on everyone who looks to him (Ezra 8:22)
Dear friend, God wants you to know His promise that, “The gracious hand of our God is on everyone who looks to him, but his great anger is against all who forsake him” (Ezra 8:22). We also read in Lamentations 3:25, “The LORD is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him.” Even today as you are seeking God to do a good thing in your life, the Lord is listening to everyone of your prayer today. When the Israelites were mistreated by the Egyptians they cried out to the Lord as we see in Deuteronomy 26:7, “Then we cried out to the LORD, the God of our ancestors, and the LORD heard our voice and saw our misery, toil and oppression”, the Lord responded to their cry.
As a result we see in the next verse, the LORD brought them out of Egypt with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm, with great terror and with signs and wonders. That same mighty, outstretched hand is upon you too my friend. Are you oppressed and are you crying out because of that to the Lord? The same God who listened to the Israelites is listening to your cry also. The Israelites said, “He brought us to this place and gave us this land, a land flowing with milk and honey;” God’s mighty, outstretched hand brought them to a spacious land. You might be walking through fire but God will bring you too to a land that is blissful as in Psalm 66:12, “You let people ride over our heads; we went through fire and water, but you brought us to a place of abundance.”
You are not going to cry alone. You are not going to cry for a long time. God’s hand that is going to bless you is coming upon you today. We read in Exodus 2:23, “The Israelites groaned in their slavery and cried out, and their cry for help because of their slavery went up to God.” When the Israelites’ cry came up to God, He remembered His covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Yes, your cry for rescue also has come up to the Lord. The Lord has listened to your groaning because He went through oppression to understand your suffering as we read in Isaiah 53:7, “He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth.” God is going to help you dear friend and He is going to save you soon. Be encouraged.
Prayer:
Loving Heavenly Father,
You are such a good God. Thank You for Your promise that You will give good things. Thank You for letting me know that You will end my oppression and set me free. Let me see Your salvation. Bring me to a spacious land of abundance, a land flowing with milk and honey. I thank You for You will remember Your promise and fulfill it.
In Jesus’ precious name, I pray. Amen.
