You are God’s delight – Sis. Evangeline Paul Dhinakaran
“For the LORD takes delight in his people; he crowns the humble with victory.” (Psalm 149:4)
God has a beautiful promise for you to hold on today. The Bible says, “For the LORD takes delight in his people; he crowns the humble with victory” (Psalm 149:4). In another translation we read, “For the LORD takes pleasure in his people; he adorns the humble with salvation.” Yes, the Lord loves you so much though the whole world belongs to the Lord. The Lord has created the whole world but He takes pleasure only in His people. Who are His people? In John 1:12 we read, “Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.” Because you have accepted Him and believed in His name, you are His people in whom He takes pleasure.
The Bible says, “Surely it is you who love the people; all the holy ones are in your hand. At your feet they all bow down, and from you receive instruction” (Deuteronomy 33:3). The Lord loves His people and He gives His word for the day to His people. Everyday He nourishes them with His word. We read, “Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.” Only because He loves you He leads you with His Word and teaches you what you should do everyday. That is why Paul says, “I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want” (Philippians 4:12).
The Lord will teach you all things like how He taught Paul. He will teach you how to manage your life whether in plenty or in want. You will receive contentment in your life. He is the one who makes your life beautiful. We read, “May those who delight in my vindication shout for joy and gladness; may they always say, “The LORD be exalted, who delights in the well-being of his servant” (Psalm 35:27). The Lord delights in the wellbeing of His servants, you who are His people. Because He delights in you He blesses you with His Word and His blessings. Today, God assures you that you are His delight and He Himself will lead you.
Prayer:
Loving Heavenly Father,
As I have read how much You love me let Your love overflow in me. Let Your love be poured into my heart right now. Holy Spirit enter into my heart and make me whole. Feed me with Your word everyday. Teach me how to live with Your word. Draw me with Your loving kindness and adorn me with Your holiness. Take away all my sins and make my life beautiful. Let Your beauty be seen in me. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.
