Chosen one! – Sis. Stella Dhinakaran
“The Lord will give strength to His people; The Lord will bless His people with peace.” (Psalm 29:11)
Whom does the Lord choose as His people? The Lord gave Himself for us that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify us for Himself as His own special people, zealous for good works (Titus 2:14; Matthew 1:21). Thus, He will redeem the mas His own children, dwell among them, strengthen them and lead them with abundant blessings. “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvellous light;” (1Peter 2:9). We are God’s chosen people. Just as God chose Abraham and his generation in the olden days and distinguished them as His special people, today, God has chosen us to be His chosen generation. Whatever blessings that belong to Israel and the house of Abraham belong to us.
The members of a family, who did not know the Lord, fell sick one after the other. They spent all their money for medical expenses and yet they were not healed. So, this family lost its peace and happiness and they struggled not knowing what to do. Under these circumstances, a sister took them to the “Jesus Calls” Prayer Tower. The love shown by the prayer warriors to them and their fervent prayers made them so happy. They came to understand the love of Jesus and surrendered their lives to Him as a family and became Hischosen people. Their sicknesses disappeared and divine love united them as one family and filled them with divine joy.
Dearly beloved! This is how the Lord Jesus also loves you and transforms you into His own children. When you come to Jesus, He doesn’t leave you in your state. He works in your heart. He changes your situation. Change can happen only through Jesus. He makes you His own child to set you above others and to set you free from troubles. Even now, He has the power to heal you of your diseases and strengthen you. Therefore, from today onwards, you too should get to know Him and seek Him. He says, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Whatever troubles you just lay it down at His feet. He who took up the cross for you wouldn’t he carry your burdens and set you free from all your shackles. He will!
Prayer:
Lord of Lords!
I praise You for sacrificially offering Yourself on the cross for my redemption. As You have already borne my physical sufferings and sicknesses on the cross, I pray to You in Jesus’ name, to deliver me from them and give me Your perfect blessings. Carry my burden and make life easy for me. Let me be identified as Your chosen one in this world. Amen.
