You are dearly loved! – Bro. D.G.S Dhinakaran
“You will show me the path of life; in your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore” (Psalm 16:11).
God is a God who cares for us like His children. He calls us His children. He says, “I led them with cords of human kindness, with ties of love. To them I was like one who lifts a little child to the cheek, and I bent down to feed them” (Hosea 11:4). Yes, He leads us and treats us like little children. He lovingly bends down to feed us, protect us, listen to us and to cherish us. We can experience His love when we worship Him and have a close walk with Him. We read in His Word, “You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore” (Psalm 16:11). This world might be full of sorrow and trouble but when we go to the Lord’s presence His love fills our heart with joy and changes us, even the look of our face.
Once a couple childless for ten years, graciously gave birth to a child and had come to meet me. They named him Dhinakaran and so they needed my blessings on the child. At that time suddenly the child began to cry. The child’s parents did everything they could to stop him from crying but the child did not stop crying. By nature, I love babies. So I looked at the child and asked in a petting language saying, “What my boy, are you hungry?”. Then I continued petting the child and the child seemed to understand what I was talking and suddenly stopped crying and began to look at me and smile. Then I smiled and then the child smiled and the two of us began laughing at each other. The parents were greatly surprised.
This is what happens when we worship and praise God- especially in the church. When people come to worship God with great fear in their hearts about their future and various other worries and anxieties, God comes there. When we begin to worship Him, He begins to pet us, comfort us, console us, heal us, pours His love and peace in our hearts and makes us strong, peaceful and happy. God’s face shines on us and gives us His peace (Numbers 6:24-26). He is a gracious God and He turns His face toward us when we worship Him and fills us with His presence that puts our hearts to rest. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God (Philippians 4:6). When we let God know our petitions through prayer along with thanksgiving and pour our hearts to God, He fills us with His peace.
Prayer:
Loving Father,
It is so true that there is fullness of joy in Your presence. Even now, I come to Your presence to lay my burdens down. You know all my worries and needs. Please set right everything in my life. Let Your peace rule in my heart. Take complete control over my life. Let me be filled with Your joy and help me to worship You at all times. I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.
