Showers of anointing! – Sis. Evangeline Paul Dhinakaran

“In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.” (Acts 2:17)Hello friend! I rejoice in my heart to open this week’s message to you with a wonderful promise from the scripture found in Acts 2:17 says, “In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.” Look at this word ‘pour’ which in modern English language can be called ‘shower’. Our God always showers His Spirit upon all flesh. God never withholds any good things from His children. He says, “If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!” (Luke 11:13). Yes, how will not God give you His Holy Spirit when you ask Him! He will surely fill you beyond measure.

I attended the 18th batch of the Jesus Calls Power Ministry with a great thirst to receive the anointing but at that time I didn’t receive it. I was so discouraged because all my relatives who attended along with me – my sister in law, my brother and my aunty received the anointing as well as the gift of tongues on the first day itself but I did not receive. Thoroughly disappointed I asked God, “Lord what sin have I committed? Why haven’t I received the anointing?” But then the Lord made me wait. I pursued the anointing passionately and so I also attended the 19th batch and even in that batch I did not receive the anointing on the first day. I became so afraid whether I wouldn’t receive it this time too. That whole night of the first day I could not sleep. I was kneeling down and crying to God. I made this prayer with a very broken heart and right on the next day at eight o’clock in the morning the Lord filled me with the Holy Spirit. Only after that I realised how precious the anointing of God was.Yes! My friend, the Lord will make you wait to receive the anointing and the gifts. During the waiting time don’t get discouraged and say, “I am not worthy to receive the anointing of the Holy Spirit”. Remember the Lord says, “If you ask anything in My name I will do it” (John 14:14). Just ask with faith that you will receive His anointing. For we read in Hebrews 11:6, “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” We should believe to receive before we request God. God will fill us with His mighty anointing like how He filled His disciples. Just pray and wait patiently.Prayer:Loving Lord Jesus,

Thank You for teaching me how important it is to be filled with the Holy Spirit and that I should desire it. Lord, cleanse me and make me pure. Anoint me with Your Holy Spirit beyond measure like how You filled Your disciples. Let my life be turned around to testify of Your goodness with power. I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.
