The salvation of God! – Sis. Stella Dhinakaran
“The LORD is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation.” (Psalm 118:14)
While explaining about our life in this world, Jesus rightly said, “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world” (John 16:33). There is absolutely no way for us to live, depending on our own strength and abilities in this terrible and evil world. But the Lord Jesus Christ came into this world only to redeem us from all of this, especially to set us free from our weaknesses and weariness. Therefore, dear reader, hold fast to the feet of the Lord Jesus. Then, He will become your strength and salvation. He will be with you always, to the very end of the age (Matthew 28:20). You are not alone in this world. You might not feel loved but the truth is God loves you and when you put your hope on Him He will surely come to your rescue soon.
A young man lost both his parents and became an orphan and lived in tears. In his great anxiety, he became so confused that he did not know where to go or whom to turn to. So, he went inside a church which was open, knelt down and surrendered his future into the hands of the Lord. The Pastor of the church was keenly watching him and when he got up after praying, the Pastor went up to him and spoke to him, and this young man shared his miserable life with the Pastor. So, the Pastor asked him if he would assist him in church work, for he needed a good worker. The young man very gladly accepted the offer, and said, “The Lord Himself has opened a door for me”. Thereafter, he stayed in the church premises and began to assist the Pastor and through the Pastor, he started to learn the deep things of the Lord and experienced the truth that the Lord was his strength and salvation. He also rejoiced in telling his story as a testimony, to those who came to the church with broken hearts.
Yes, God can change lives. God can change circumstances. Do you need to be saved from your troublesome state? God says, “Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand (Isaiah 41:10)”. God will change your heart and make everything favourable for you. He says, “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh” (Ezekiel 36:26). When God makes you a new person, living life the way God wants, will bring blessings into your life. That is the only way we can be sure of the intervention of God. The Bible says, “The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives” (Psalm 37:23). This is the truth. God can only direct the steps of people who are committed to Him and are yielding to His voice. It delights Him to take care of every detail of their lives. All you need to do is to give your heart to Jesus and put your trust completely on Him. When you fix your mind on Him, He will fix everything that bothers you. He will surely save you.
Prayer:
Loving Lord Jesus,
Give me a heart of flesh and take away my heart of stone. Let my heart become yielding to Your Word. Be with me always and help me live a life that is committed to You. May I be godly before Your eyes. Take care of every detail of my life. I want You to be the author and finisher of all my circumstances. I give all control of my life to You. Be glorified through me.
In Your matchless name I pray,
Amen.
