Strength Of My Soul Sis. Stella Dhinakaran
“In the day when I cried out, You answered me, and made me bold with strength in my soul.” (Psalm 138:3)
In our weakest moments, amidst the afflictions, tribulations and worries of the world, we have a solid assurance from the Bible, “God gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength” (Isaiah 40:29). Moreover, God says, “Call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me” (Psalm 50:15). Taste and see the goodness and kindness of God.
Once, a sister visited the Jesus Calls Prayer Tower to seek prayers for her husband who was in the hospital and was nearing death. Wailing, she told to the prayer warrior, ‘The doctors have declared that my husband would die. Please pray for him. I need him.” The prayer warriors prayed with tears and with much faith and sent her back assuring her, “Sister, don’t worry about anything. Your husband will live.” She went back to the hospital with the hope that the Lord would surely help her. When she went there, her husband was sitting and seeking for her. When he saw her, he expressed his hunger and asked for some food. She was amazed. The power of the Lord had worked instantly through prayer! Strengthened by the miracle that the Lord had done, she praised God and started serving her husband.

Beloved, what is the problem that is squeezing your heart today? Fear not, for the great God is with you; be not dismayed; He will strengthen you and help you; He will uphold you with His righteous right hand (Isaiah 41:10). Cry out to Him, the Miracle-Worker, about your helpless and hopeless condition. Place your entire trust and faith in the Lord. He will wipe every tear from your face. He will resurrect every dead-end and make it a beautiful bend that leads to a much better view of life! To make you joyful, the Lord will do a miracle today! You too will sing, “In the day when I cried out, You answered me, and made me bold with strength in my soul” (Psalm 138:3)!
Prayer:
Dear Lord,
Thank You for every good thing I have received from Your hands so far. Even now, in this treacherous situation, fill me with more faith to receive a miracle. Nothing other than Your boundless power can bring me out of my problem. Lord, send Your help. I need You. Do not put me to shame. Hear my cry. Let not this problem drift me away from You but draw me closer to You. O my Strength, intervene and deliver me from the clutches of shame and sorrow.
In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
